What is the point of sacrifice,
when the crooks engage in vice?
And yet, you died for a cause,
they’ve scratched that with new laws!
The hypocrites do honor you,
of course, that’s nothing new.
They profit off your name,
the ones who have no shame.
You’re still a money maker,
and a mover and a shaker.
They’d back the ones who murdered you.
And claim what’s false is true.
You’ll always be a scapegoat,
so that we don’t rock the boat.
We can’t be radical and wild,
they tell us that was not your style.
We tout you out this time each year
And loudly clap and cheer.
They really don’t like your dream,
it had an inconvenient theme.

He’s been spinning for quite some time. If he could, I know that he’d get up and spit in Obama’s face and without hesitation. I absolutely despise a hypocrite and they are everywhere! Obama is the very antithesis of EVERYTHING Dr. King stood, marched, protested and died for. It just makes my blood boil that Dr. King is touted out when it is convenient and yet those who quote him betray him every single day and sully his name.
Oh, and you can best believe that I was nowhere to be found near a goddamn store today. I try very hard NOT to contribute to a CEOs lavish bonus and payday.

Indeed, that is true! But some of us will NOT forget! And I will continue to call-out hypocrisy when I see it and the hypocrites have crawled ALL over Dr. King and what he stood for and it is shameful, disgraceful and disgusting!
