Without An Audience

mask

The lights go out,
on an empty stage.
No drama unfolds.
Stories untold.
Waiting in the wings,
a cast of characters,
funny or serious,
a triumph or a tragedy
hoping for a star,
no chance to shine
without an audience.

This one is for all the writers out there who are wonderful writers with great stories to tell and who lack an audience and appreciation. Here’s hoping that one day, you’ll get your chance in the limelight and be recognized because everyone has a story to tell and most have many.

    1. Just keep at it! You never know, it could happen and you let me know WHEN, not if it does!

And I thank you so much for stopping in. By the way, you look absolutely Charming. *wink* I am SO naughty!

      1. Ah your neck looks lonely, and the vacancy between your arms looks reserved. Let your mind know I’ll be on time for our intellectual meeting, let your senses know I’m cordially inviting myself for a sensual act on stage. Ready to show this audience a breathtaking performance without the spotlight? I know I am. Just let me know when … shelby coming back for this invitation. *wink*
