The pastor is at the pulpit
spouting out his lies,
while another child in Iraq,
from a drone strike, dies.
The priest blessed the altar,
while we dutifully bowed our heads.
And the drones rained down,
as American barbarity spreads.
The Reverend held the bible,
and he said, “Thou shall not kill!”
But the drone operator,
paid no heed to God’s own will.
A Rabbi reads the Torah,
but he never mentions drones.
He speaks about old Moses,
but not about what God condones.
Our Bishop looks so fine,
decked out in full regalia.
His lips don’t move at all,
about the drones that struck Algeria.
The Pope had much to say,
on how we should help the poor.
But never did he mention,
America’s thirst for war.
We pretend that we are good,
compassionate, loving and kind.
And our pious souls are pure,
but to the drone struck, we are blind.
The hypocrites gather faithfully,
and they pledge to love all men.
What you fail to understand,
is that ‘all men’ just means their kin.
No one dare accost the righteous.
There are no ghosts to haunt our nights.
Our days are spent in oblivion.
To the world, we are its knights.
Do you hear the keening wails
from those who mourn their dead?
And as they look towards the west,
you sleep soundly in your bed.
For what are they to you?
An enemy? Surely not.
You say your soul is pure,
but hell has saved your spot!

Those of you who think of yourselves as Christian, you really need to take a deep and introspective look inside your ‘heart’ and come to terms with the fact that you are nothing more than a hypocrite. You sit in your places of worship and you bow your head and half of you are not even listening to the word of your ‘God’ because if you were, you would not sit idly by and let this country that you live in continue to rain drones down on the heads of innocent people in foreign lands. You would not continue to believe that in order to keep your worthless ass safe, it is imperative that your government continue to kill people who have done no wrong.
The reason that I am directing this one to the so-called Christians is because you are the very people who go on and on about ‘love thy neighbor’ and ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ and so much more that is actually quite meaningless to you. You don’t care about anyone except for those who are in your own little cocooned world. But the thing is see? Your religious books speak of a loving ‘God’ that loves ALL people including those that have been touted out as your enemy. Be that as it may, you are supposed to continue to love them despite what others say to the contrary because that is what is in your holy books. So then, that makes you a hypocrite and it also makes you ‘selective’ in who you love because if you can love your own child but ignore the death of another’s child just because he/she lived in a different part of the world, then what does that say for what is in your ‘heart’? Get real about ‘religion’ or quit bullshitting yourself because that is exactly what you are doing every single time you see a picture of a child that was killed by drones that you pay for and yet you just simply look away because after all, he was no ‘kin’ of yours. But according to your religious books, yes he/she WAS!! Think on that! Meditate on it! Consider it and stop lying to yourself that you are about the business of love because not only are you a liar, you’re a two-faced, fake ass, conscienceless liar. You’re not good. Nor are you pious. And don’t even think that a confession is going to save you because the one that you’re confessing to is going the same route as you. They too have their spot in hell saved for them, just as you do. So, again, think on that!

Why do you think that ‘religion’ insists on being tax exempt? This country would be debt-free if the many ‘religious’ organizations paid taxes on all the money they bilk from the sheep that walk like automatons straight inside their ‘religious’ palaces of worship.

What speaks to the nature of ‘god’ is the story of the sacrifice of Isaac.

But anyway, ‘god’ says, “Go burn your only son because I say so!” And fool that he is Abraham decides to listen to the voices in his head that in this day and age, our snake oil salesmen would say that he was schizophrenic and needed meds. But this being biblical times, things were different. ‘God’ was talking much more back then than he is now but believe me, he is still talking. I know plenty people that claim ‘god’ talks to them. But again, back to the story. Abraham takes the knife to slaughter his ONLY son and wouldn’t you know it, ‘god’ suddenly became ‘loving’ again and said, “Whoa there Abraham, I was just funning with ya. Don’t take me so seriously and literally. It was just a jokey joke. Lighten up, man. Just find some worthless ram and offer it up instead. I know you ain’t hungry and it’s not for food, but just burn it because I say so and then we is good than a motherfucker! You feel me homey? Copy that!”
Seriously? For real? Are you kidding? Fucking get outta here with that shit! And here we sit believing all up and down on some ‘god’ even AFTER reading just one ‘lesson’? I hate to say it, but we do indeed NEED big pharma ’cause millions of folks need some meds, like NOW!

Exactly, this is why I say, now, as many did two thousand years ago, that ‘THE WAY,’ or Christianity, was and is just another sect of the Hebrew religion. The story you focus on is a Hebrew folk tale, and it is one that helped me to awake out of my religious stupor, along with many other troubling verses, the church leaders and reality itself.

I take a little exception with this, most respectively so. Christians, Muslims, and Jews, and others do live by their holy books, to the letter they do. Their holy volumes are filled with murderous atrocities committed by a God who is neither merciful or loving but rather vengeful and unjust, and quite fickle I might add. But don’t anyone take my word for it, it’s all right there in the Bible and Qur’an just as plain as the words on this post; hate, vengeance, and genocide, privilege and elitism.

I’ll take your word for it, and back you up. I spent twenty-five years of my life in this man-made system of mind-control, based on superstition. But I finally found my way back out, fourteen years ago.

I am SO glad that you take exception Peter because I do as well. See comment to Sojourner above! As you may have read, I was once a Sunday School teacher. I was one of the herd, the brainwashed, the indoctrinated, the flock, the sheep, the ‘believer’ until I started doing a bit of ‘critical thinking’. And of course, ‘critical thinking’ is not allowed all up in church because if the flock got to thinking, they’d realize that they’re being played, take their tithes out of the coffers of the church and get the hell out; quick, fast and in a goddamn hurry!
So, I sincerely thank you for taking exception to this as taking exception to bullshit is the right thing to do. If you had bought this load of bullshit then I would have seriously wondered at your mental state but since you did not, then I do not.

Yes, indeed, the ‘christians’ are silent than a motherfucker and nary a peep can be heard even though on their sermon days, they don their finest robes and vestments and get to yelling and screaming or humming and speaking in tongues about the wicked ways of the fornicators, and about adultery, coveting and bootlegging, but what the fuck have they said about the endless drones that are raining down on innocent heads? “Thou shall not kill” only applies when it suits them and when it doesn’t they can certainly look the other way while torture, experimentation, hypocrisy, corruption, war crimes and cover-ups are going on starting from the highest office in the goddamn land that would make even their ‘devil’ blush and close the goddamn gates of hell against those vile and evil motherfuckers!
And what gets me is that all over the blog world, some Christian shit is going on and on about how good ‘god’ is and take your cares to ‘god’ and drop them off. But they ain’t talking about the drone operators that crawl in bed beside their ass. They ain’t going on and on about all the war crimes committed by the U.S. military. They ain’t going on and on about Dick Cheney excusing the torture and murder of innocent people. They ain’t going on and on about the many people that are cooling their heels and being experimented on in Guantanamo and other facilities of the like that’s scattered all over the goddamn globe.
