There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of the United States, at this very hour.

Take the American slave-trade, which we are told by the papers, is especially prosperous just now. Ex-Senator Benton tells us that the price of men was never higher than now. He mentions the fact to show that slavery is in no danger. This trade is one of the peculiarities of American institutions. It is carried on in all the large towns and cities in one-half of this confederacy; and millions are pocketed every year by dealers in this horrid traffic. In several states this trade is a chief source of wealth. It is called (in contradistinction to the foreign slave-trade) “the internal slave-trade.” It is, probably, called so, too, in order to divert from it the horror with which the foreign slave-trade is contemplated. That trade has long since been denounced by this government as piracy. It has been denounced with burning words from the high places of the nation as an execrable traffic. To arrest it, to put an end to it, this nation keeps a squadron, at immense cost, on the coast of Africa. Hello dear shelby (I’m using my account) it’s been a while, I’ve been busy helping my mom find a new place, and dealing with my chronic pain disorder, normally you don’t many people my age (19) with chronic pain disorders, but I get by somehow. I did not celebrate this ‘fouth of you lie’ but my neighbors sure enjoyed lighting those annoyingly loud fireworks, and barbecuing, absurd amounts of cancer inducing food. I swear those fireworks were so loud I could barely sleep, making me want to tell my neighbor off for lighting those darn fireworks at 12 in the morning, but as usual, I decided against it. I just don’t see why any black person in this country would celebrate that farce of a holiday, it’s like they don’t even realize they’re celebrating a holiday their ancestors couldn’t enjoy, cause there were still slaves during the nations independence, this is not holiday of freedom like some people call it, it’s a holiday celebrating a nation of slavery, death, and murder, why do we need to celebrate that. Mary, first of all, let me state that I am so very sorry that you are in horrible pain and as young as you are, it just mortifies me that someone your age has to struggle against a chronic pain condition. I must say, I can truly sympathize with you because as a victim of multiple car accidents, none of which were my fault, I too am in severe pain, daily and I can take nothing for the pain because of my extremely sensitive stomach.
Your play on words, ‘fouth of you lie’ made me smile. I’ve got to use that some time, if I may. And I too, was subjected to listening to those fire crackers going off and was like, “What the hell are you celebrating?” Every damn thing is fucked up and yet people are busily buying bullshit to just make noise. You see, whites have trained us well. They have got us loving ALL up and down on our continued slavery. They tell us when to celebrate, what to buy for that celebration, when to shop, how to shop and where to shop and how to pay for what we buy. And dutiful sheep that many of us are, we simply do as we are told because we don’t have a thought of our own inside our skulls. That is just absolutely pitiful. And they can’t even see the truth in what I just wrote and the sad fact is that they never will.
How in hell can they not figure out that Independence Day for this shithole meant that our ancestors were slaves? How the hell can they stand and salute a racist flag that did not pertain to us in any way, shape or form? How can they sing a national anthem that glorifies and honors slavery? People who should know better still step in line and get with the whites’ program and they don’t make a sound against the vile ass shit they do. I refuse to be of their number. I don’t give a rat’s ass for whites and I make no bones about that fact. What the hell are they going to do to me? Oppress me? Done! Imprison me? Done! Gentrify my ass? Done! Impoverish me? Done! Enslave me? Done! And I can only die once and so what the hell? There is nothing that they can do to us that they’re not already doing and so why we should be afraid of their asses, I don’t know because a motherfucker that’s got nothing to lose is a dangerous one because you cannot do anything to a person with nothing to lose, but kill them and like I’ve already stated, I can only die once. Shelby. First off I’m sorry you have to go through such pain, and not be able to take any medication for it, I wouldn’t be able to bear it. I guess it just shows how strong you are to push through it, without medicication. I take medication for my pain, but it’s so severe that I take some very strong medicine now that can be very dangerous, it has so many negative side effects, that it’s not worth taking it since my body will get used to it eventually, I’ve recently tried edibles for my pain, since it doesn’t have lethal side effects. It helped with my pain much quicker than any of those expensive pills I take, and it’s much cheaper for me as well. I decided to start consuming edibles for my pain I’ll be growing the plant myself, I’m not going to risk my life for some drugs that I will only get used too, and then I’d have to take another overpriced medication, or get garbage advice from a doctor who could really care less about my chronic pain disorder, cause they view me as someone not worth the help, since I’m just some young black woman. Some of the terrible advice I’ve gotten from doctors for my chronic pain disorder, which effects my reproductive system. was to remove my reproductive system which isn’t entirely safe, nor is it a cheap procedure. I’ve even been told to just have a kid maybe the pain will go away, like having a child is something so simple to do for me. I was even told if I can’t do either of those just deal with it, using medication. I was only 12 when I was told that, so you can only imagine how depressed I was when I was told that those were my only options, I was constantly made to feel like my pain was no big deal, or that I was overreacting by doctors, and even some of my own relatives constantly. Also I’m sorry I dragged this post out quite a bit, it’s hard to even say this to my own family since most if not all my relatives don’t have a chronic pain disorder. I hope you can find a way to treat your pain as well, and hopefully your pain goes away.

Mary, I don’t even know where to begin. White doctors are NOT our friend. I don’t know if you have ever been attended by a Black doctor, but if you have not, I can only hope that you can find one in your area. We cannot go to the whites and expect to receive good advice or great health outcomes. They are out to destroy us, not help us. What is a damn shame is that many Black people cannot even count on their families for support in their time of need or any other time for that matter. Believe me, I know where you are coming from. Black people have strayed from the ‘sense of community’ we once had and that was our downfall. We hate each other’s guts and this fact is well-known.
Also, I cannot tell you how many medications white doctors have tried to give to me and I simply discard them. They have tried giving me opioids for pain and I flat out refuse to take them. The tell me, “Oh, just put something on your stomach and the opioids won’t bother it so much.” No fucking thanks! Like you, I am not trying to get ‘hooked’ on anything because you’ll always need more and those worthless shits know this.
And the ‘removal of your reproductive system’ is something that you should never take lightly as that procedure has many, many risks. Weigh ALL your options Mary, which seems to be exactly what you are doing. I am so glad that you are not just taking everything those quacks throw at you and going with it because it’s not their body that’s going to get even more fucked up. And since you are so young, you most definitely don’t want your life to be over almost before its begun.
Mary, I seriously wish there was something that I could do for you, I truly mean that. But know this, I will be thinking of you and hoping that you can find some relief and live a tolerably pain free life. Bless your heart.
