1. Citizens aren’t safe in Lynchburg, like they used to be – and Marty remembers years during his public safety career in the City of Lynchburg when our streets were much safer.

The number one responsibility of government is to protect the lives of those within our city limits and safeguard their property. Public safety is the cornerstone to all other priorities of local government. Education and economic development are important, but our citizens must be safe when they are attending schools or participating in the economy. That is no longer the case in our city. Homicides have risen drastically in the last two years (2021 and 2022 year to date) as referenced by VSP Data and LPD Public Information Releases.

Throughout my eight years of service on City Council, I have been a staunch supporter of public safety. I believe having qualified, well-trained, and well-paid police officers, firefighters and emergency communications personnel are all important components of a vibrant and safe community. My record proves that I am willing to do what it takes to ensure that every citizen in the Lynchburg community, regardless of what neighborhood they live in, can feel safe and secure.

Supported a $10,000 increase in the starting salary all sworn police officers, approximately $40,000 per year to $50,000 per year.
Voted to implement a pay plan that provides a progression system for annual increases in officer salary
Voted for new equipment including body worn cameras, an upgrade to Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, new safety equipment for vehicles
Funding for a new police headquarters on Odd Fellows Road. This new location rather than the original Kemper Street will result in an $8 million cost savings.
Benefits of the new police headquarters include:
- Consolidating four locations into one location
- Provides a modern police facility that includes secured parking for department employees, which significantly enhances safety
- Includes meeting space that allows the department to invite the public in and build stronger relationships with our community
- Provides room for growth of the department for many years to come

It was the late 1970s, and he was 8 or 9 years old, the eighth in a family of 11 children from a poor and mostly African-American neighborhood in Hartford, Connecticut. The shore of Long Island Sound lay less than 40 miles away, but until that weekend Lester had only ever seen the ocean in books and on television.

[At the beach] Lester set to work building a sand castle, and he was soon joined by a young white girl who wanted to help. “I’m talking to her about how we’re going to do it, we’re working together, and I’m not sure how long it was, but I look up and I see a man—I guess it was her daddy—and he snatches her away,” remembers Lester, recently reached by phone at his Hartford barbershop. Reasoning that it was simply time for the girl to go home, he kept on building.

Then the girl came back. “She says I’m nice, why don’t I just go in the water and wash it off? I was so confused—I only figured out later she meant my complexion.”

It was his first experience with racism.

What happened next may come as a surprise to residents of a city burnished by a legacy of free state abolitionist sentiment and knowledge of the mass slaughter of men and boys by William Quantrill’s pro-slavery raiders. The three Black men, with tacit endorsement of local law enforcement, were at the mercy of vigilantes. The throng placed ropes around the neck of each man. They were hung until dead from the old stone, wood and steel river crossing.

Black Babies in Kansas are More Likely to Die Than White Babies, and the Pandemic Made Things Worse

Wichita, KS— For years, Black babies in Kansas faced an outsized chance of dying before their first birthday. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and things got even worse.

Now, a Black baby is nearly three and a half times as likely to die in the state as a white baby. While the nationwide rate of infant mortality dropped between 2019 and 2020, the rate in Kansas swelled about 19% — and for Black children, it surged nearly 58%.

That means that for every 1,000 Black children born, nearly 17 died within their first year of life. For white children, the rate is fewer than five out of every 1,000.

“We knew that (the pandemic) was going to impact Black infant mortality,” said Sapphire Garcia-Lies, a Wichita-based doula and the founder of Kansas Birth Justice Society, a nonprofit working to lower racial disparities around maternal and infant health. “But I don’t think any of us knew that it would be that bad.”

Black families run into more barriers in accessing health care before, during and after pregnancy, said Sharla Smith, a professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center who directs the Kansas Birth Equity Network. And the care those families get, she said, is often worse than what white families can expect.

“We see a lot of discrimination,” Smith said. “We’re also hearing from our parents that they’re not listened to.”

She said part of that stems from systemic racism in the health care system, including a dearth of Black and brown doctors.

Seen enough yet???!! A man was hit by a Metro train at Southern Avenue in D.C., according to D.C. fire.

Fire officials say the man was extricated and was conscious and breathing.

The Green Line was single tracking between Naylor Road and Anacostia. Metro advises riders to expect delays in both directions.

No further information has been released at this time.

The above taken from the only article is all that I could ever find on this about my cousin’s accident. I have been trying to take care of him ever since. However, the shit is hitting the fan for us all and I have never seen such in all my days as what we are experiencing now. My cousin and myself are being evicted because we PAID THE RENT IN ITS ENTIRETY EVEN THROUGHOUT THE PLANDEMIC BEFORE IT WAS DUE FOR FIVE YEARS AND FOR THAT WE ARE, APPARENTLY, BEING PUNISHED. I will be living in my vehicle, but my cousin was sent a letter from the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority stating that he was approved for a housing choice voucher and yet, the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority has been dragging its feet in getting a voucher issued to my cousin. They have had him running over to housing bringing in documentation and telling him that his voucher will be available in two weeks and when those two weeks came and went, it has now turned into “soon and very soon.” These people play games with folks lives and the shit’s not funny. I have been homeless many times and it doesn’t get any easier, but if my cousin has been approved for a housing choice voucher, than they need to get on with issuing it to him so that he can find housing and not move into homelessness along with me in his condition.

I am only using my cousin’s first name in this blog. My cousin Charles was struck by a train in 2016 and suffered a fractured skull which resulted in traumatic brain injury, a broken back, a broken neck and broken right femur. He was operated on and released from the hospital a week and a half after having been struck by a train. He has been signing up for housing assistance since he was struck by that train. The following emails will detail his most recent attempt to receive much needed housing assistance since the severe accident from which he is still trying to recover and please also note, that he suffered a heart attack in December of 2019 brought on by some prescribed medication he was taking.

Thank you for your correspondence on behalf of your constituent, Mr. Charles

of Lynchburg, VA who contacted your office regarding his status on the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program waiting list with Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (LRHA). Mr. Charles says he applied for a HCV on March 8, 2021. He had a question about why his position on the waiting list dropped, moving from number 140 in July, 2021 back to number 154 in January 2022. We contacted LRHA’s Executive Director, Ms. Mary Mayrose, regarding Mr. Charles’s concern. It appears that the change in placement on the waiting list was due to an error caused when LRHA received a new allocation of Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) in 2021 that were mistakenly placed on the HCV wait list. The EHV program is being issued through the Continuum of Care (CoC) and LRHA is currently in the process of moving those EHV families to their own wait list. Mr. Charles’s spot will be corrected accordingly. If Mr. Charles would check back on his placement in about 7 days, the error should be corrected. LRHA advises Mr. Charles to review his application to determine that he has entered all waiting list preferences relevant to his situation that he can support. Also, the LRHA’s Public Housing waiting list is open and typically remains open at all times. If an applicant applies for a Public Housing unit it will not affect their placement on the HCV waiting list. We hope this information is helpful to you as you respond to your constituent. Finally, Charles received the application for a housing choice voucher, he completed it, turned it in and it was accepted by the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority. But then he received an email stating that he had failed to complete the application that he had HAND DELIVERED to the housing authority and copies were taken of all accompanying documents.

I hand delivered my application to housing and the lady at the front desk assured me that everything housing needed was included in the finished application. Why did no one tell me that I had returned an incomplete application? I even called on Monday of this week and inquired about why I had not heard anything from the housing authority. I was told by the lady who took my application that the next thing I would receive from housing was a telephone call letting me know the date that I could come for my housing choice voucher. I do not understand why at this late date, I am being told that I did not turn in necessary documents when the lady made copies of all documents. My entire bank statement was in the envelope and it is not my fault that she neglected to copy the entire statement. She also did not tell me that I needed an updated copy of 60-day Social Security benefit statement. She took a copy of my benefit award letter and she did not let me know that the statement was insufficient.

I do not have a computer and you told me when I called you that I was, in your words, “confirmed,” so I took that to mean that you had everything that you needed. The only reason I am aware of this at this time is because my cousin just happened to check my email and discovered this from housing.

I would appreciate not being held responsible for what is being perceived as a lack of cooperation on my behalf.

What other housing authority could get away with this? It is blatantly obvious that the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority is intentionally withholding Charles’s housing choice voucher that he has been waiting a year and a half to hopefully obtain and yet, after having been told that he was approved for a housing choice voucher, he was told that in two weeks, he would be contacted to come in and get his voucher, when the two weeks passed, he is now being told that his shit is being “sent upstairs for processing.” This Corner dude IS UPSTAIRS and so where the hell is he sending what he claims needs to be further PROCESSED? To the MOON??!! This man is going to be homeless come September 30th and the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority is well aware of that fact, but is still playing games with this man’s life and it’s not funny. The state of New Jersey just issued FOUR THOUSAND HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS, ONE THOUSAND WENT TO HOMELESS PEOPLE AND THEY HAVE RECEIVED THEIR VOUCHERS while this little, bitty burg can’t get one man’s voucher to him in a reasonable time span??!!! There ain’t nothing but 70,000 or so people in this little ass burg and 82% of them are rich whites. They are NOT in need of a voucher! And so there is no excuse on this planet why that man’s voucher is being held up! No excuse at all that is on the level.

Here are copies of what we were sent by Greenbrier Management Company that took over Bramblewood Apartments Complex, but we were never issued a new lease and obviously that is not going to happen. It is not as if we have been sitting back waiting on a miracle because for anyone who has been reading this blog over the nine years that I have been posting, it is known that I am not one to sit and twiddle my thumbs, but, AGAIN, I have never experienced what is going down now. It is like there is a concerted effort by ALL entities, governmental, corporate, etc., to see to it that as many people as possible are fucked up. I have exhausted ALL avenues of trying to find a place and frankly, I am at my wit’s end. If it was just me that I had to concern myself with, I wouldn’t have a problem because I am tired of having to ‘prove’ myself to potential ‘landlords’ that I would be a great tenant. That shit should have already been proven since I have rent receipts dating back FIVE YEARS, a perfect FIVE YEAR rental history in one unit and that’s not good enough. So, I’ll be homeless. That’s nothing new, especially for Black people, but if my cousin has been approved for a housing choice voucher, than by God, he should be able to receive it and not have people playing games with his very life!

Below is the first notice that we received from Greenbrier Management, but no lease.

This is the letter that we received in Greenbrier back in February and yet we were not allowed to sign a lease for this notification.

And then in July, we were sent this notification and yet, still no lease.

And now, it is the end of our lease term, September 30, 2022, and still no lease has been signed. I even spoke with Louie, who was the manager of this complex last month when I paid the rent because like I’ve already stated, I pay the rent the month prior to the month that it is due and have the receipts to prove that. In fact, Louie asked me if I was paying rent for August when I was paying rent for September in August. That is how ridiculous and clueless that mess is over at the office. And now, there is a Black woman sitting in Louie’s chair. So, since Greenbrier Management took over, we have dealt with so many different office people, my head is spinning. First there was Indica and Devon, then Cassie, then Louie and now a new girl. For the love of!!!!! When I spoke to Louie, he told me that we would be going month-to-month. Look at the second notice and see what their month-to-month rate is plus add a hundred dollar month-to-month fee. That is only for people who did not send notification of their intent. I sent notification of our intent back in June and so we should not be on a month-to-month and so, in essence, we are being evicted because they know that we sent in our notification before it was even due and we’re not fucking paying them a month-to-month rate and be sitting in the food bank line that’s about to close down for lack of donations, looking cross-eyed.

Meanwhile, I have been trying since February to find an alternative, but with the housing situation the way it is, I have found nothing available. I actually caught COVID or so they tell me back in June trying to find housing. We signed up but never heard anything and despite numerous emails, nothing. I went to Minnesota in July and signed up for an apartment and was told that I was on the waiting list. I am on waiting lists for apartments from Ohio to Minnesota to New Jersey to Iowa and, AGAIN, nothing.

Folks, this shit is NOT funny and it is coming for ALL of us. News story after news story I have read about how rents are skyrocketing, home prices aren’t down much so that people can afford to buy homes and folks are being set out on the streets in every state in this shithole. So, if you think this is funny, keep laughing, a few months from now, the shit will be impacting those who think it won’t.

Baltimore, MD Can’t Keep Its Water Clean For Having To Settle Lawsuits Over Bad Cops!

Water woes, water woes and more water woes! They just never seem to let up, at least not in majority Black cities in this shithole. First Flint, Michigan, then Jackson, Mississippi and now Baltimore, Maryland.

Baltimore Is Now Dealing With Its Own Water Crisis Because of E. Coli Contamination

Jackson, Mississippi is still dealing with the ramifications of a long-lingering breakdown in water treatment infrastructure. Yesterday, the city restored water pressure to normal levels, but a boil-water advisory is still in effect. Now, Baltimore, Maryland, a city with a 62 percent Black population, is trying to fight through their own water troubles. As ABC News notes, E. coli samples were found in some areas of West Baltimore, and a boil advisory was sent to more than 1,500 people.

There are some questions regarding when the Mayor found out about the contamination. As The Baltimore Banner notes, testing confirmed the contamination on Friday. But Mayor Scott said Monday that the city was first made aware of the problem on Saturday.

Scott’s spokesperson Monica Lewis says the mayor regrets not telling the public sooner.

Really? The mayor “regrets not telling the public sooner.” Well if that don’t beat all! Nope, let’s just let those poor miserable Black people who look like me continue to drink water loaded down with E.Coli! Don’t for a minute think of their children, the sick and elderly who really don’t need any new issues. Let’s just get around to telling them that their water is fucked up when we get around to it.

That’s how those shameless shits carry it; that’s exactly how they feel for if not, why did they not tell those people as soon as they found out that their water was contaminated with shit? And what is E.Coli contamination? Shit.

What is E. coli?

Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a bacteria that normally lives in the intestines of both healthy people and animals. In most cases, this bacteria is harmless. It helps digest the food you eat. However, certain strains of E. coli can cause symptoms including diarrhea, stomach pain and cramps and low-grade fever. Some E. coli infections can be dangerous.

How does E. coli make you sick?

The most familiar strains of E. coli that make you sick do so by producing a toxin called Shiga. This toxin damages the lining of your small intestine and causes your diarrhea. These strains of E. coli are also called Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC). The STEC that is most well-known in North America and most often referred to is E. coli O157:H7, or just E. coli O157

There are other types of STEC that are called non-O157 STEC. These strains cause similar illness to the O157 strain but are less likely to lead to serious complications.

**Who can get infected with E. coli?**

Anyone who comes into contact with a disease-causing strain of E. coli can become infected. People who are at greatest risk are:

The very young (newborns and children).
The elderly.
People who have weakened immune systems (for example, those with cancer, diabetes, HIV, and women who are pregnant).
People who travel to certain countries.

So, those folks water is contaminated with shit?!!!! And the mayor did NOT think that it was important to tell those people that their water was full of shit and so stop drinking it??!!! For the love of !!!! I guess the mayor had more important things to worry about like paying other Black people some lawsuit money over bad fucking dirty ass cops!

A Gang of Rogue Police in Baltimore Cost the City More Than $15 Million

The long-term cost of the Baltimore Police Department’s notorious and disgraced Gun Trace Task Force to taxpayers just jumped by more than half a million dollars, the result of a newly-approved settlement with one of the gang’s victims.

Look at those worthless shits! Don’t you just want to “thank” them for their service in making sure that your tax dollars go for lawsuit payouts because those thugs in blue are just so poor and unappreciated that they have to steal from folks? I guess that drug money looks too good to pass up, not to mention it helps to have a badge because then you can plant fake evidence against a perp, have them locked up for something they didn’t do and those cops pocket whatever they took from the perp or the innocent person they set up. A win/win for the cops.

I’m using the word “gang” here intentionally, to denote that the task force wasn’t just a group of rogue officers, but a corrupt, violent and organized group that terrorized neighborhoods, made money by stealing and selling drugs and banded together under a common uniform and name. In any other setting, law enforcement would’ve labeled them a gang, clique or even a mafia—and since words matter, we’ll call them what they are.

WHAT???!!! The “heroes in blue” were just a stealing from people in the neighborhood, selling drugs, being corrupt, terrorizing folks in their neighborhoods and they’re the “good” guys??!! Get the fuck outta here!

This specific gang that operated within the Baltimore Police Department has now cost the city north of $15 million as officials there continue to dole out payments for their reign of terror. This morning, the Baltimore Sun reported, the city’s powerful Board of Estimates unanimously approved a $575,000 settlement with a man named Darnell Earl, who spent 18 months in jail as the result of an encounter with three members of the gang.

You can read more of the original article to find out what happened to Darnell Earl because what I really want to focus on is the fact that, once again, a city’s water is fucked up and loaded down with shit and the public is not made aware of that fact as soon as city officials were notified and on the other hand, the city, via the taxpayers, are paying out sums of money to settle numerous and ongoing lawsuits over cops gone rogue which is the entire Baltimore Police Department. I know. I have had to deal with them and I would never live in Baltimore, MD ever! I’ve said that before, but I certainly mean that shit now because when you have to deal with the likes of those thugs in blue, you get a clue. I’ve seen some bad cops before, but nothing that I’d ever seen of cops prepared me for the cops thugging out of the Baltimore Police Department, in ALL shades; doesn’t matter, Black, white, yellow, beige, tan, Hindu Indian looking, Pakistani looking or Mexican looking. They are ALL damn thugs, down to the very last one. The cops are SO bad, you’d be hard pressed to find ANYONE in the city of Baltimore, MD that hasn’t had some sort of interaction with those damn thugs. You can’t pass by someone on the streets that’s not been locked up. I cannot count how many people I have met in Lexington Market that didn’t have a story to tell about their experiences of being locked up in Central Booking. Oh, the horror stories. Some even told me that people have been “lost” inside jail. I’m sure their organs aren’t lost. Johns Hopkins knows where they are. Baltimore, MD is the organ trafficking capitol. I heard some shit when I was visiting someone at Johns Hopkins Hospital that I shall never forget. If anyone thinks that Johns Hopkins is some special sort of hospital with a stellar reputation, then be Black and take your ass up in there, you’ll come out feeling a whole lot different; that is, IF you come out.

And so once again, we have yet another majority Black populated city experiencing not only water woes, what with their water full of shit, but an added bonus of dirty, rampant, out-of-control thugged out cops who are more felonious and criminal than any drug dealer on the street. I’d rather run into a drug dealer than run into one of Baltimore’s dirty ass cops. Oh, the final collapse of this shithole cannot happen fast enough!

An Appeal To Black Mothers: Don’t Perpetuate Self-Loathing

Yesterday, I was talking with a woman who was about the same age as myself, late fifties, and she was telling me about her childhood and as she did so, I could not help but gasp because we could have been sisters growing up in the same household as her experiences mirrored my own.

She was telling me of how the police had to be called to her home damn near every weekend and multiple times during the week over domestic assault issues. She also told me about the fights; the throwing of objects at each other and whatnot that her parents engaged in. She also spoke of the insults that she endured on a regular basis coming from her own mother. She told me how growing up in that environment only made her life turn out exactly like her mother’s. She married an abusive man, put up with untold abuse until she could no longer take it and divorced his ass. She told me that to this day, she has to distance herself from her mother and that her mother gets on her case because she is looking out for her sick father. She told me that even after telling her mother that her father has no one and that she, her mother, is married and has a husband to look after her, why does she have a problem with her helping out her ailing father? Her mother in fact told her that when she dyed her hair a Kool-aid burgundy color, “You look like a nigger!”

Now for those of you who read my blog titled, “A Letter To My Mother On Her 77th Birthday! Happy Birthday Mother,” then you know that what this lady told me is exactly what you have read on that blog. Again, we could have lived in the same household because her life mirrors mine down to a “T.”

Here is an excerpt from that blog:

I am going to attempt to find the words to convey just what emotions you evoke in me mother; hate, disgust, loathing and yes…pity, for you are so despicable, nasty and hateful that no one wants to come around you and I actually pity you. I spent so many years trying to gain affection from you that was never yours to give because you hate yourself. You loathe yourself for why else would you stay with a man who, when you were pregnant with me, your first baby, threw you a quarter when you told him you were hungry and he said, upon throwing you a quarter, “Here, I wouldn’t want to see a dog hungry.” And yet you thought so little of yourself that not only did you continue to lie with that slug, you brought two more children into this world to be condemned to live with two people who hated each other. We learned to hate as well.

As you can see, it is crystal clear that many Black women loathe themselves; have no respect for themselves, feel as though they are worthless since they will settle for an abusive asshole who beats their asses and yet they stay with them year after year and those mothers take that shit out on their children. They subject their children to untold cruelties and then are pissed at their children for the rest of their life for becoming a mirror image of them. That shit’s not on your children, that shit’s on you! Your self-loathing and lack of respect for yourself is something that you never dealt with and you subjected your children to your own lack of self worth. You became a punching bag; an outlet for some no good man to take his frustrations out on. You subjected your children; those you CHOSE to bring into this world to a life of sheer torture, pain, terror, racism and some more shit and they were ill-prepared to deal with that shit! You gave them no means in which to be guided through the system of white supremacy that you know exists because you live under that oppressive system. You gave your children an added burden; the burden of trying to maneuver through a system that was evil to its core and lethal to your children while they also had the extra burden of your baggage to carry around with them. You set them up for failure. You did your best to see to it that your children would suffer, mightily. And we have. You did us no favors. We had an enemy from our own camp to set us up and then tossed us to another enemy on a battlefield on which we never stood a chance. We were not prepared because we were damaged goods already before we even knew what was going to hit us. How do you Black mothers who have done this to your children, live with yourselves? If you could not handle life as a Black woman, then why bring Black children into despair and horror that is the world you exist in that makes you loathe and hate yourself? Your children will not thank you for what you did; hurled them out into a world they were ill-prepared for and told them to sink or swim. And yet you castigated us and treated us with derision when we made decisions that mirrored your own. We took our cue from you. We learned at your knee. We looked to you. That shit’s not on us, it’s on you! You are why you hate us. You ‘gifted’ us with no silver spoons, but with tarnished hearts, battered bodies and broken minds, helpless and barely adrift in a sea of hate everywhere we turned, even when we turned to you..our mothers. What chance did we stand? How could we have turned out any better than we did? And yet you mothers of us blame us for why we are your mirror image. You act as though, we, somehow, should have emerged from a chrysalis to a well-rounded adult free from issues and with the ability to take on a world that hated the very sight of us because of our skin color.

No Black mothers! We have you to thank for refusing to realize that your actions would have consequences and those consequences would come right back to you. You get no thanks from us because you are due none. We cannot thank you for bequeathing us so little and yet expecting so much from us in return. We can only give you what you gave us; nothing more. And yet you expect much from us. Oh yes, we are YOUR children, but we are battered children. We suffer from YOUR abuse. We have “Battered Children’s Syndrome,” and it is very real. And we’re not talking merely about the physical battering of us, but more importantly, the mental battering of us. That was worse. The resulting scars from that are far more lasting and damaging than the physical ones. I can still see some of the physical damage on my body from the whippings and beatings, but by far, the mental damage is much, much worse. Where does a child turn when their own mother is their very first enemy? Where does a child turn when they face an enemy that hates them because they were born and to whom they were born hates them because she hates herself? Where? Can someone tell me? Tell us? Because there are many “me’s” out there! The lady that I spoke with told me that she thought she was the only one. I assured her that she was not. She actually sighed in relief when she heard that because she thought it was just her. Oh, how wrong she was. And oh how right I wish she had been.

Jackson Water Crisis Fueled By Flooding, Years Of Decay

Residents in Jackson, Mississippi, are struggling to find clean water to drink, wash and cook with.

It’s a crisis that goes back decades.

Years of decaying infrastructure, extreme winter weather and flooding have helped push the city’s water system to a point where people sometimes can’t flush toilets or bathe in their own homes.

“The water issues in Jackson really date back to the early ‘80s when they began to notice that there were issues within the infrastructure of the water system,” Ross Reily, a reporter at the Clarion-Ledger, said in an interview Wednesday.

“As we rocked along there would be Band-Aids put on it here and there. And then we got around to 2010 when there was an ice storm … that ended up causing burst pipes all over the city.”

The governor at the time declared a state of emergency over dozens of water main breaks that came after several days of freezing temperatures. Schools and government offices were shut down and businesses closed.

Fast forward to January of 2021, when another round of unusually frigid weather caused the same kinds of problems.

But we’ve got plenty of money to throw at Iraq after invading that country over a big ass lie. We’ve got plenty of money to leave in Afghanistan.

First on CNN: US left behind $7 billion of military equipment in Afghanistan after 2021 withdrawal, Pentagon report says

Washington (CNN)Approximately $7 billion of military equipment the US transferred to the Afghan government over the course of 16 years was left behind in Afghanistan after the US completed its withdrawal from the country in August, according to a congressionally mandated report from the US Department of Defense viewed by CNN.

The Defense Department has no plans to return to Afghanistan to “retrieve or destroy” the equipment, reads the report, which has been provided to Congress. This equipment is now in a country that is controlled by the very enemy the US was trying to drive out over the past two decades: the Taliban.

The US gave a total of $18.6 billion of equipment to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) from 2005 to August 2021, according to the report. Of that total, equipment worth $7.12 billion remained in Afghanistan after the US withdrawal was completed on August 30, 2021. It included aircraft, air-to-ground munitions, military vehicles, weapons, communications equipment and other materials, according to the DoD report.

New York to pay to house illegal migrants in luxury Times Square hotel

A luxury Manhattan hotel will soon be used to provide housing to hundreds of illegal migrants, according to the New York Post.

The outlet reported that Democratic Mayor Eric Adams plans to convert the Row NYC, formerly known as the Milford Plaza and nicknamed the “Lullaby of Broadway” in Times Square, into an intake center and shelter for as many as 600 migrant families.

The illegals are now the democrats new voting base. They’ll be provided with IDs, a hotel address and then free townhomes, free food, free clothing, free interpreter services, free medical, free dental; all on our taxes. And as for those of us who are dealing with homelessness on a massive scale, gentrification, no water, dirty toxic water not fit for drinking or bathing in….well…first things first; gender change programs in Pakistan, luxury hotels for illegals in New York City, billions to Ukraine to bomb Russia and things of that sort are much more important to AmeriKKKa than us three-fifths fucked up American descendants of slaves. Three Households Threatened With Evictions Everyday In Lynchburg Virginia.

As some of you may already know, I was born in this hillbilly hellhole and I never liked living here for multiple reasons, hence why I left and stayed gone for the majority of my life. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of coming back, but it looks like I will be leaving again, shortly. But until then, I am going to continue with the series on Lynchburg, Virginia because it’s getting to some folks….and how!

Three households threatened with eviction every day in Lynchburg

An average of three families are threatened with eviction every day in Lynchburg, making it among the worst in the country for a city of its size, according to a new analysis of eviction records in the region.

Nearly nine out of every 100 renting households in the city faced a court-ordered eviction in 2016, giving it the ninth highest eviction rate among Virginian cities larger than 20,000 residents. Lynchburg renters faced eviction more than three-and-a-half times higher than the national average.

Throughout the course of 2016, 1,207 households were ordered to vacate their homes, according to the analysis by the Virginia Legal Aid Society. A year later, another 1,167 faced eviction.

But..but..but..the The Falwells and their ‘Moral Majority’ bullshit is sitting all up in Lynchburg, doing their ‘christian’ duty of making sure that their fellow man/woman/child who is living in poverty is getting some damn help. Right? Wrong!

Lynchburg is a city made up of two types of people; those who say, “Do as I say, not as I do,” and those who better do what they say..and they do. And then, there’s me. But I digress.

The reason why what is going down in Lynchburg is going down is because the whites here figure that not a one of these Black folks ever made it off the plantation. In fact, most Black folks in Lynchburg act like they never made it off the plantation. They are absolutely terrified of these whites here and with good reason. Since I have been back, I have been fighting like hell against these white sociopaths here who are wealthy beyond anyone’s wildest dreams thanks to slavery. Whites here own all the choice land, although truth be known, if you’re in this Hillybilly Cornhoe, you tell yourself everyday that there is no choice anything about this racist shithole. However, since whites own most of the property with the exception of a few Black folks who have licked some whites’ asses clean so many times, they’ve thrown them a bone or two, there are mostly ‘Old Money’ whites and poor Black folk, plus the poor whites that hang with the poor Black folks who the ‘Old Money’ whites consider to be ‘poor white trash’.

You see, Lynchburg was an experiment. It was the perfect place for one; nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains almost cut off from the rest of the world. In fact, right across the bridge from Lynchburg in Madison Heights, houses what was known as the Central Virginia Training Center and in that building, were housed those who were developmentally disabled and who were sent there by their parents or other family members who could not or did not want to take care of them. But that facility has since closed and the residents have all been placed in group homes. But let’s get back to why there are so many, mostly Black people, getting evicted.

The growing disparity between rich and poor and stagnating wages may also play a part in evictions. Between 1990 and 2016, median rents in Lynchburg rose 14% while wages decreased 5%, according to a report released earlier this year by the Lynchburg Regional Housing Collaborative

Tenants aren’t the only ones eager to avoid the courts. Property owners also dread appearing before a judge, according to Antonio Rose, a Lynchburg landlord who owns about two dozen rentals across the city.

Eviction paperwork is time consuming for landlords and the court process could take several weeks to resolve, he said. In the meantime, tenants may still be living in a rental unit without paying rent, cutting off a landlord’s source of income.

In some cases, Rose has opted to pay delinquent tenants to vacate his rentals — an informal workaround known among landlords as a “cash for key eviction.” He said he once offered a tenant $400 to move out.

“It saves time,” he said.

That bastard is one of Lynchburg’s worse slumlords. Antonio Rose owns rooming houses and few fucked up looking apartments and he treats his tenants like shit, but then so do damn near ALL landlord/slumlords in this damn burg. Now, Antonio Rose is Black and the stories I have heard about him would curl the devil’s toes as to how he also treats his tenants. But then who is surprised at what goes on especially if you have read any of my previous blogs about this damn shithole named Lynchburg.

Eviction orders also have trended down in recent years. Between 2013 — when judges awarded 1,412 evictions — and 2017, the number of court-ordered evictions orders dropped about 17%. But Lynchburg’s 8.62% eviction rate still exceeds national and state averages. According to Princeton’s Eviction Lab, the national eviction rate is 2.34% and the Virginia rate is 5.12%.

Now THAT is extremely telling. Now, read this while I weep!

Since 2009, no landlord has filed more lawsuits than Lynchburg’s Public Housing Authority

Later this week a flurry of notices will appear in the mailboxes of residents living in Lynchburg’s four public housing complexes.

The notices carry a blunt message: If the rent is not paid within the next two weeks, your lease will be terminated.

Time after time, the housing authority has made good on that threat.

Over the past decade, no landlord in the city has moved to evict more residents than the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority, according to an analysis of more than 20,000 court records by The News & Advance.

Last year, the authority — which houses nearly 1,000 low-income residents across 328 apartments — filed eviction lawsuits against almost a third of all households, court records show.

Dawn Fagan, the executive director of the LRHA, said the money the authority collects from rent is a crucial piece of what keeps the authority functioning. According to the authority’s 2018 financial plan, rent payments make up about a fifth of all revenue allocated for public housing. The federal government provides about $1.6 million in subsidies every year, while rent brings in another $500,000.

So let me get this straight, the $500,000 in rent payments is what is keeping the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority, afloat? Here is an idea, storm the offices of HUD and find out why there is insufficient funds being dished out to housing authorities all across this shithole because if the Biden Administration can pull billions out of thin air to send to Ukraine, then they goddamn well can find some more billions to see that HUMANS are housed who are having difficulties what with losing their jobs, low wage jobs, excessive child care expenses, high food prices, insane electricity charges from one of the power companies with the highest rates for electricity, American Electric Power Company, high ass gas and diesel prices and the list is endless, but I highly doubt that what this “Dawn Fagan” has said about what keeps the LRHA afloat is the truth. Gotta blame the poor folk who need to make use of public housing because it is poor folks fault for being poor.

How in the world is a housing authority, governed by HUD, you know HUD, the agency responsible for funding housing for even HOMELESS PEOPLE, evicting so damn many people without a red flag popping up and someone saying, “Whoa, hold on a minute! What the fuck’s going on? You are supposed to be in the business of ‘housing’ people, not making them homeless. And why no working out what the problem is and finding solutions to keep people housed as opposed to throwing them into homelessness?”

And what has Lynchburg’s mayor said about any of this? Crickets are chirping because you see, as far as Lynchburg’s mayor is concerned, it’s just business as usual. Not one political figure has publicly stated one word about the serious issues of evictions, abject poverty, homelessness caused by evictions and so forth and so on. In fact, my cousin was heading to Baltimore and he caught a train and while he was waiting to catch the bus at 5:15am to the train station, a homeless woman approached him, pushing a shopping cart and since he was carrying sandwiches to eat on the train, he asked her if she wanted one. She thanked him politely and said that she had a few snacks and she went on her way, pushing the shopping cart in the street since there are hardly any sidewalks in this dead ass burg. But it brings me to another story that I read, a homeless man sat on a bus stop bench, right in front of my quack’s office and died. He just sat there and died and no one knew the man was dead until someone came along to sit at the bus stop waiting for a bus and discovered his dead body.

People, all of this is Lynchburg, Virginia. Tell your loved ones and even those whom you hate to STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS SHITHOLE!!!!! And I cannot stress this enough! There is nothing here but racism, ignorance, hate, Jim Crow, homelessness, poverty, hypocrisy and a feudal system unlike anything you have ever heard of. In order to sue any whites in this burg, you have to go OUTSIDE of this dead ass, racist burg to find a lawyer willing to take these vile, vicious shits, head on and that is no lie!

The man had so many ‘alert’ bracelets on his arm, I was alarmed. But he sat on that train until it reached Baltimore and as I turned back upon exiting the train, a gurney was pulling up and he was being placed on it. That man had to get the fuck up out of Lynchburg to get the help he needed and I am sure that he will never grace Lynchburg with his presence ever again. And I am sure, as far as he is concerned, it is a case of, “Good riddance to racist garbage!”

Black People Celebrating The Fourth Of July Is Madness!

Of course everyone knows that I will NOT be celebrating the fourth of July. What the hell for? Because I’m free? Because my ancestors were slaves when the first fourth of July was celebrated? Because what a wonderful life my ancestors and I enjoyed and are enjoying in this hellish nightmare shithole??!!! Are you serious?

Black folks, what the fuck are you celebrating? Your continued enslavement? Mass homelessness? Income inequality? The school-to-prison pipeline? Mass incarceration? Food insecurity? Insane poverty numbers? Racist health care? The fact that the whites made you the faces of COVID deaths when that need not have been the case? Continued medical experimentation? Police brutality? Police murdering us with impunity? Gentrification? Obesity statistics that are off the charts among the Black populace? Outrageous diabetes statistics? The fact that our life expectancy is lower than that of wild animals? The absolute horrific statistics of Black people on dialysis? What are you celebrating the fourth of July for? You don’t need all that dead meat on a grill. That is why your ass is heading to dialysis the next fucking day. That is why you are having to test your blood sugar, consistently. That is why you were touted as the faces of COVID deaths when in reality, along with the fucked up foods you eat and the continued medical experimentation done on you by the neo-Nazi death squads fronting as doctors, those are the reasons for Black COVID morbidity.

You are traveling to see family and to get together to celebrate the white man’s holiday because you do whatever the white man tells you to. They don’t have to force you to do a damn thing because you are already there, with bells on. This is why I gave up months ago trying to get through to you because you are a lost cause.

The reason why I was able to get over COVID so rapidly is because I do not eat slaughtered animals for human consumption. I do not eat sweets and I take vitamins that are good for me and I exercise. And the quack that I see is quite crestfallen, and that’s putting it mildly, when he tells me that my kidneys are fine, my cholesterol is fine. I’m not diabetic. And yet his ass is still after me about a COVID vaccine. I am going to have to get me another quack when next I see him because if he asks me about getting a COVID vaccine for the umpteenth time, I am going to have to cuss him the fuck out.

But back to why you fools think that celebrating the fourth of July is in your best interest. What the hell is wrong with you? Why do you make the white man’s job so easy for him when it comes to dealing with your asses? He does not have to do shit but tell you that a holiday is approaching and your asses immediately start buying shit, shopping like fucking crazy to make sure that your kitchen table is groaning with dead animals and all the sides you can fit on the damn table.

And we can no longer even quote Fredrick Douglass’s famous July 4th speech because when his Black wife died, he married a white woman and so as far as I am concerned, he is another piece of shit sellout. Even in his speech, Douglass said to the whites, “This Fourth of July is yours, not mine. You may rejoice, I must mourn.” And yet married one of the very shits that was the reason why he claimed to be mourning. What the fuck? Even Martin Luther King Jr., suggested that it was better to integrate with our enemy than to remain segregated from him. How has that worked out for us? I am beyond tired of ALL of these so-called ‘learned’ men telling us what is good for us when nothing they said was what we needed because if it were, would we be in the predicament that we are in today? Fools talked at us about the buybull and chrisitanity which is the white man’s religion, but pray tell me, do you see the white man hell bent on living up to his religion whereas it calls for him to give up his worldly goods and follow his so-called ‘savior’? Do you see any of that happening? He makes damn sure that he has all the worldly goods while you have none because he wants you to believe that you can expect to gain your inheritance once you die and dwell in paradise with him in some great, shining mansion in some heaven and he hasn’t told you, you will be waiting on his ass hand and foot, according to his white ass. The only problem is, even he does not believe that bullshit, but he certainly has you Black folks believing in some paradise in the sky somewhere just awaiting for you to enter its pearly gates and be bestowed with what the white man has said will be your due upon your death. Is Lynchburg One Of The Most Racist Cities In Virginia?

Let’s take a look at something, shall we?

For those of you who have read the previous blogs that I posted about Lynchburg, Virginia, you should not be shocked at the fact that Lynchburg, Virginia has the dubious distinction of making the list as one of “THE MOST RACIST CITIES IN VIRGINIA.” Of course I am sure that one would be hard-pressed to find a city in Virginia that is not “most racist,” and does not have a klan chapter operating out of it, but this just proves what I have been saying all along. The hypocritical buybull toting racists in this burg are the epitome of fake assed pretenders. They smile in your face, knowing all the while that with all the land they own, at night, they’re standing in some other racist’s field carrying a torch and sporting a white sheet and a hood. The next day, they are your doctors, lawyers, landlords, bank tellers, social workers, teachers, restaurant owners, news reporters and so forth and so on. And if you make waves, you will be dealt with, sort of like what these racists have in store for me, not that they haven’t already been trying to “deal with me.” In fact, my cousin was in Kroger at the customer service counter just the other day and lo and behold, my most sainted mother(according to her) was standing right in front of him. They looked at each other and turned the other way. Now, remember, that’s the cousin that lives with me. My dear, sainted mother knew better than to part her lips to even whisper my name. But as usual, I digress.

This next chart is a complete and utter lie and it will probably be self-explanatory, but I’ll explain what I mean anyway. And you should know that this particular chart only pertains to Lynchburg, Virginia.

How the hell is THAT believable when every single Asian in this burg either owns an Asian restaurant, nail salon or beauty supply store? You would not be able to find an Asian going anywhere near a soup kitchen even if you camped out with binoculars for months on end trying to spy out one!

It does NOT matter about population count. What matters is the fact that if a district, burg, hamlet, town or city is not enabling an Asian to make bank, they simply move to a more profitable district, burg, hamlet, town or city. In fact, I have another chart that will make an even BIGGER lie out of the above chart. Shall we? Yes, we shall.

Now, THAT chart is NO lie. Look at where ALL the Asians stand with regards to liquid assets and total assets, does that look like they are struggling and living in abject poverty to you?

Let me explain what is taking place in Lynchburg today. With the full blessings of the mayor, Lynchburg is most rigorously going through the process of GENTRIFICATION. You see, there are seven hills otherwise known as districts and the most poverty stricken districts are where the majority of Lynchburg’s Black citizens live. Most of the housing projects are located in those districts. But what is happening is that even in the so-called Black districts, the whites are coming in and are taking old buildings and turning them into something they hope Lynchburg’s younger, up and coming residents will take to. And with the current state of bigger cities, what with carjackings, smash and grabs, burgs like Lynchburg are looking better and better to whites which is why bigger, multi-family housing management companies are buying up mom and pop owned apartment complexes and are essentially paying them the asking price because they are going to increase the rents on all multi-family developments which will thus make them too expensive for many Black people to afford which is what is happening with the complex I live in. It was privately owned and now it has been bought out by a bigger management company that is trying to run those of us out who cannot afford to pay 400% rent increases.

What is also taking place is that with this economy, many whites in this burg are struggling. I have been perusing Craigslist to get some idea of just how much whites are beginning to feel the pinch of inflation, high gas and diesel prices, high grocery prices and what I’ve found was what I expected. Whites are avid hoarders and some of you may have heard of a television show called, “Hoarders.” I used to watch that show because it was quite telling just what extent whites will go to to not release even an old newspaper, but take a look at what they are letting go on Craigslist because they need the money.

This is exactly what I mean. The water pump is leaking, the AC compressor is burnt up, but for $3,000, it’s a ‘steal’.

**I know that EVERYONE, simply EVERYONE is going to line up to come buy this!**

And another example of whites hoarding shit! But a WHOLE FORK LIFT???!!!!

**We ALL most certainly NEED forklifts. Here’s one all set to go to a good…business? Yard?**

And this dude was hoarding a WHOLE BUS!! I can only shake my head!!!

**Anyone out there with SO many kids, they need a bus because this guy says that his kids are grown and so he has no further need for a bus. For the love of!!!!**

Church bus anyone???

**Any church out there need a bus to get those tithes and offerings to church? Well, here’s one. Just change the name.**

I could go on and on, but I think I’ve made my point. So, I am not saying that everyone’s coffers have run dry, but the fact of the matter is prices are rising, gas and diesel is more expensive, food prices are outrageous, companies offering high paying jobs are laying off and the only sectors that are hiring are those that already pay a wage that no one can afford to live on, hence why even whites are taking to looking in their fields for shit that’s been rotting away for decades, pulling it out and putting it on sale on Craigslist. But what are Black people doing? What we’ve ALWAYS done; figure it out and get through it. We don’t have shit hoarded in our yards and in our homes just waiting for a downturn so that we can possibly put it up for sale. We have been living the nightmare of poverty, hopelessness, hunger, income inequality, food insecurity, homelessness and the lot since our ancestors were dragged over here, not to mention a heaping helping of white supremacy, racism, Jim Crow; the whole nine yards. And whites are still trying to figure out why we are still hanging on. It’s because that’s what we have been doing for hundreds of years in this hellhole that you made a hellhole for us and you know this. But I sincerely hope that you whites get a real good dose of some of the shit that we have been dealing with for centuries. Would be about time, I’d say!
