Fear Is Not A Halloween Mask!

 

Fear is not a Halloween mask,
 nor is it a walk through a graveyard.
Fear is waking up behind a dumpster
knowing that you can never let down your guard.

Fear is not ghosts and ghouls in fiction books,
nor is it a jack-o’-lantern’s evil grin.
Fear is having a pain in your side
and a nasty rash on your skin.

Fear is not a witch riding on a broom,
nor is it a cauldron boiling hot.
Fear is looking into an empty cupboard
and thinking of all things you haven’t got.

Fear is not a vampire biting on a neck,
nor is it a movie about a Nightmare On Elm Street.
Fear is the life you live of desperation,
hopelessness, misery and defeat.

No, we don’t need Halloween
to bring out the fear in our lives.
All we need do is live another day
to know real fear and why it thrives.

As this is Halloween, we tend to think of the usual things that are supposed to instill fear in us; from evil masks to scary, haunted houses while people are dealing with real fears; fears for their children’s health and wellbeing, the fear of wondering if they will have their retail job after the coming holidays are over, fear that there will not be enough food for their families and fear that they will not be able to keep a roof over their head. There is so much to fear even as we are bombarded with advertisements on the whores of Hollywood and what unique costume they will be sporting and how they will celebrate lavishly at some party somewhere while millions of people are damn near destitute, hopeless and wondering where their next meal will come from.

We have all contributed to what we see today. We have stood silently by and watched this all unfold, but since we still have Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and whatnot, we don’t really have to look up from our iPhones and take a good look around at what is going on. It is a sad shame that we call ourselves social creatures just because we peruse ‘social media’ every single day as we become more and more removed from each other than ever before. So, don your costumes, go to your Halloween parties and post the pics on Facebook. Tweet along with our stupid and ignorant president about what a great time you had and tomorrow when the costume is lying on the floor, when you’ve received 200 ‘likes’ on your costume via Facebook, please tell us how much better off your circumstances are and that of your neighbor.

Ex-U.S. Marine kills 3 policemen in racially tense Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La., July 17 A decorated ex-U.S. Marine sergeant opened fire on police in Baton Rouge on Sunday, killing three officers, nearly two weeks after the fatal police shooting of a black man there sparked nationwide protests, one of them shattered by the massacre of five Dallas policemen.

And in the alleged shooters own words, “It’s only fighting back or money. That’s all they care about,” he said to the camera. “Revenue and blood, revenue and blood, revenue and blood.”

Train a man to kill and that is exactly what he will do. And just as all KKKops are trained to kill as are all soldiers, they are now battling it out on the streets of AmeriKKKa. And since both have access to weapons, well now, batten down the hatches.

I do not think that the countries and nations that have advised their citizens to proceed to America with extreme caution are going to cease with their travel advisories any time soon.

And this time, we have a decorated ex-U.S. marine sergeant, decorated for what, I do not know as all the details are not in as of yet. But I am quite certain that the medals and commendations that he earned were not for cake decorating, eating the most hotdogs in a hotdog eating contest or for coming in first place in a Frisbee toss. Now, you can think that I am making fun of this all you want, but the truth is that this is no laughing matter because the summer of our discontent only just started on June 21st. We are not even at the half-way mark and with two Conventions to get through, this does not bode well for the rest of a summer that has been described as an extremely ‘hot’ one and not just thanks in part to climate change.

I am compelled to ask, “Are you enjoying your summer?” I am!

If Ebola Is What I Have!

I have this everlasting thirst,
no amount of water seems to quench.
My weakness is overwhelming,
and when I vomit, what a stench.

I have diarrhea and muscle aches too,
and my temperature is a hundred and one.
Oh, this pain inside my head,
and these cramps are no damn fun.

Is this the flu or some other virus?
It’s doing me in for sure.
Now, I’m bleeding from my nose.
I only hope there is a cure.

What is happening to me?
And why do I feel this way?
I have questions I need to ask,
as this gets worse from day to day.

Someone take me to a doctor!
Please give me what I need!
If Ebola is what I have,
don’t let the spread of this succeed!

Symptoms of Ebola include
•Fever (greater than 38.6°C or 101.5°F)
•Severe headache
•Muscle pain
•Weakness
•Diarrhea
•Vomiting
•Abdominal (stomach) pain
•Unexplained hemorrhage (bleeding or bruising)

Symptoms may appear anywhere from 2 to 21 days after exposure to Ebola, but the average is 8 to 10 days.

Recovery from Ebola depends on good supportive clinical care and the patient’s immune response. People who recover from Ebola infection develop antibodies that last for at least 10 years.

Educate yourselves and please, please sift through the information that is available. Many of us want to panic because there is no known cure for Ebola. We don’t know whether this is being hyped up or what because we know that our respective governments lie and inundate us with false information. It is easy to buy into so-called ‘quick cures’ that are being sold but, apparently, there is no known cure as of yet and who knows if there will be one.

Most of us have heard of Ebola long before now and we simply shrugged it off because it was not something that we ever thought that we would have to worry about because we were told how it spread and of the regions this virus usually plagued. But the stories always died with what we thought was just a few people who succumbed to it but now, it’s not just being relegated to the place of its origin and since people are flying back and forth across this planet, that has us even more terrified.

If we can respect and believe the CDC, we know the signs and symptoms and when we should see a doctor. All we can do is hope for the best, express our sympathy for those who have the virus and hope that this does not turn into another ‘Black Death’. But know that if this becomes a pandemic, the human race will not become extinct as there have been plagues and pandemics all throughout history and yet, here we are today, billions of us. Live each day to the fullest because each day that you live in fear is another day lost.

Take the time to appreciate your loved ones, tell them how much you love them and above all, look up from your smartphones and your TVs and your tablets and realize that you are missing out on the very life that you so fear that Ebola will take!

“I’m Tired Of Hearing About Ebola!”

On October 2nd, 2014, this was one of my search engine terms, “im tired of hearing about ebola.” Frankly goddamn it, I am too!! If we take a look through the annals of history, we will find plagues or pandemics that have killed hundreds of millions of people and yet, we mere mortals that survived went on to continue to propagate our species, much to the detriment of all other species. It actually wouldn’t be such a bad idea for the rest of the planet if ‘humans’ became extinct since we’re only going to continue to ‘war’ with each other. But that’s only wishful thinking on my part.

Why is there such a fuss being made over Ebola when the U.S. and its allies have killed over a million Iraqi and Afghan civilians and have maimed hundreds of thousands more? And we are still at it, but a long comes Ebola and all of a sudden, everyone is terrified. I’ll tell you why you are all so fucking scared, it’s because unlike drones and missiles that have intended targets in places other than where you reside, Ebola is flying back and forth across the world and coming to a city where you live. You can’t fucking take that. It’s fine when bombs are being dropped elsewhere, that sort of killing is removed and remote from you, but Ebola just might have your name on its ‘hit’ list and that has you scared shitless. Well, fucking good! Get scared shitless. Know what it feels like to be mortally afraid for your goddamn worthless life. You are not more important than a poor Iraqi child that lost his life. Your life is not worth more than a mother in Afghanistan who lost her life because of bombs dropped by the U.S. and Its allies. You are certainly not as important as any of the millions of dead people that are dead because of U.S. taxpayer paid for missiles. And now that you find yourself to be not all that important, you can’t take it when your mortality is staring you down. Well, in that case, fear Ebola! Never mind the mafia, Ebola’s put a ‘hit’ out on you!

The Black Death killed how many people?

HIV/AIDS is a pandemic that we are still battling.

What about the plague of Justinian?

“In the year 541, rats on Egyptian grain boats brought a pestilence to the Easter Roman Empire that would ultimately leave approximately 25 million people dead. The Plague of Justinian quickly tore through the empire. Even the emperor himself—Justinian I, for whom the plague was named—contracted the disease.”

Let us not forget the Antonine Plague.

“And according to the article, cholera deserves and honorable mention because this disease has managed to kill millions.”

We’re always hearing about cholera outbreaks in Haiti, but no one seems to be concerned other than the Haitians and since Haiti is dirt poor, hardly anyone, apparently, is vacationing in Haiti. Now, if Ebola were to hit Acapulco, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara and Tequila in Jalisco, oh there’s gonna be hell to pay. Oh how Americans love to hate the Mexicans until it’s Spring Break and vacation time! Then there is a never ending stream of Americans crossing the border. Funny that! Americans don’t want the Mexicans crossing over into their border, which actually WAS their border before it got annexed, but we certainly don’t mind being entertained by the Mexicans in the territory that we graciously allowed them to keep, eh? We’re SO fucking full of it, fucking hypocrites that Americans are! But, oh how I digress!

Oh and, don’t forget that 80%-90% of North American Indians were killed by the Europeans in what amounted to genocide or in other words, a Holocaust, you know like the six million Jews that the Nazis did away with?

Heaven forbid that Ebola has the balls to head to America, home of American ‘exceptionalism’. What’s the matter ‘exceptional’ Americans? Ebola is supposed to know how ‘exceptional’ you are and therefore, dare not set foot on the shores of America? You know what? Maybe this is payback for the ‘exceptional’ Americans sitting mute while other countries around the globe are getting bombed into the dark ages by American bombs. Maybe a little payback was in the cards and now you’re going bat shit nuts over Ebola. Ebola’s going to even the playing field, so to speak. When America’s military is dropping bombs on innocent heads, not so innocent limbs in America will start to show signs of Ebola for every innocent that an American bomb, killed. Think on it! We Americans are no more special than all the millions, the world over, who are dead because we cannot be bothered to get up off our ass and do something about the everlasting wars we wage against others in foreign lands who have done us no harm.

Never think that nature doesn’t have a way of sorting things out and as I’ve already stated, level the playing field. About time, I say! So, yeah, Americans, be afraid! Be very afraid!

“Peacefully!”

I haven’t posted for awhile because I am just too afraid. Can you imagine that? Me! Afraid?

Well, you see, I had my computer blow up on me and I’m not trying to have that happen again. Apparently, I’ve been a very, very bad girl and since everything we type on a computer is going to spy central, and every telephone call we make is also going to spy central, what the hell! Nothing is secure. Nothing is safe from the spies and so I am afraid of being considered a domestic terrorist and sent off to Guantanamo or some unknown prison hell in some other country and denied due process. I am afraid that I will become like Edward Snowden, a person without a country. I am afraid that I will end up like Chelsea Manning, locked away for 35 years without a hope of early release.

We are not to stir the pot. We are to fall in step and not question. We must not question authority. Our government will not hurt us if we do as it dictates. Never question governmental authority. Accept what is being shoved down your throat and remember to always wave a flag as that is what the true patriot does. The true patriot is loyal to her country and would never think of her country as in the wrong. America does no wrong. America can do no wrong because America stands for freedom and democracy and human rights and peace and justice. America is a benevolent and giving country. It has never harmed even a fly. Its people get along. There are no homeless, hungry or poverty stricken people in America. Everyone has access to decent health care. No child is inadequately educated. No child is left behind. America is a christian nation founded on the belief that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, AS LONG AS YOU ARE A RICH, WHITE MALE!”

America is the land of freedom.

We came, we saw, we conquered, peacefully.
We needed laborers and we stole them, peacefully.
We thirst for oil and we bomb for it, peacefully.
We are the torch bearers for war, peacefully.
We create conflicts everywhere we go, peacefully.
We desire peace, our brand of peace, peacefully.

Love Is Not A Game

My feelings were untouched until you came and broke the seal.

How can I forgive you when I had no time to heal?

You took from me my all and then led my heart astray.

I believed your many lies until the day you went away.

 

I have loved and I have lost so many times before.

I could never play another just to even up the score.

The pain is never less when each new love is gone.

As love is not a game and a heart is not a pawn.

 

Heart strands are torn apart as if entwined by fragile rope.

I look towards the heavens for just one glimpse of hope.

The nights, they are the longest with none to fill the void.

Fear And Terror

We have no control over our own lives and our future. History has repeatedly shown that the U.S. government has funded terrorists and terrorism and the present day fear that many Americans are experiencing is due to the actions of our government. Our government is terrorizing us. A person could or could not be a terrorist and it all depends on who the government decides is a terrorist. For those of us who are war weary, we are just going to have to stay that way because the powerful want it that way. I would like to end this by saying, “peace,” but there is NO peace nor will there ever be “peace!,” not if our government has anything to say about it.
