The Rage In Minneapolis, MN Goes Beyond The Cops!

I was reading an article today and the title of the article is:

In Minneapolis, rage over George Floyd extends beyond cops.

True, it does, but the article just continues on in that vein. It does not go further than expounding on how many times Black men have been murdered and/or incarcerated by the ‘system’ of white supremacy that not only controls what goes down in Minneapolis, MN, but controls this entire country. But I want to focus on Minneapolis.

The rage of American descendants of slavery protesters goes way beyond the rage against racist cops. There is a disproportionate number of American descendants of slavery who are homeless in Minneapolis and city leaders as well as community and church leaders are doing everything they can to make sure that continues.

White Minnesotans have for decades, dragged willing Hmongs, Vietnamese, Nigerians, Somalis and Mexicans to Minnesota while at the same time, denied access to necessary services, housing, jobs, educational opportunities; the whole nine yards to American descendants of slavery.

If you find yourself to be homeless in Minneapolis and you are an American descendant of slavery, you will be told by Hennepin County Human Services to contact St. Olaf’s Catholic Church where you must go to be entered into the shelter system. You must then get to St. Olaf Church as soon as possible because the shelter beds fill up quick. Once you arrive at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, you will be told if there is availability in a homeless shelter, but first, you must answer about 20 questions and receive a ‘shelter pass card’. Below is an actual ‘shelter pass card’.

If you are familiar with Minneapolis, you must ask for a “Handbook of the Streets” and if the church has any, you can obtain one.

A homeless person is supposed to use this to navigate themselves out of homelessness. But when you call the numbers in the handbook, there is NO assistance.

 

Inside the book is where you are supposed to find ALL of the resources to help you out of homelessness and yet why do you think so many people are still homeless in Minneapolis? Especially American descendants of slavery and Indians?

 

This would be why. This is where ALL of the resources are going; to assist immigrants. Those who are American descendants of slavery and the Indians can just remain homeless.

 

And the services for immigrants continues!

 

This is where our tax dollars are going while those who paid those taxes are sitting somewhere underneath bridges or are in fucked up homeless shelters like the one that burned down on Christmas Day 2019. You remember the Drake ‘Hotel’ homeless shelter fire that burned to the ground displacing hundreds of American descendants of slavery.

This page is supposed to showcase the places that have affordable housing available. Call the coordinated entry system and you will find out quick, fast and in a hurry that there is no help; there is no affordable housing. “Hennepin County Front Door,” my ass! I was in the building and I was still told to go to St. Olaf’s Catholic Church. That’s some straight up bullshit that’s in that “Handbook of the Streets.”

If this wasn’t so horrific in that there is no real help to be found here, it would laughable. There is no ‘rapid rehousing’ and they fucking know this!

So after receiving my ‘Community Card’ and the ‘Handbook of the Streets and a bus token depicted below from St. Olaf’s CATHOLIC CHURCH,

What a great help St. Olaf church was. I guess they thought handing me a token for a two and a half hours ride on Metro transit really helped.

 

I was told by the staff at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church that there was a slot available at a homeless shelter, and to make my way on over.

Try sleeping on that. I’ve seen pictures of prison cell beds that were more comfortable.

That thin shit is on top of steel and there is no rapid re-entry into permanent, affordable housing from that. I actually spoke with women who were trying to save money just so that they could spend some nights in a hotel in order to feel what a real bed is like. This is what churches and so-called ‘charities’ are doing to people, namely American descendants of slavery. The Indians refuse to even go into those places and so they just set up tents.

 

As you can see, the rage that was exhibited in Minneapolis was not just due to racist police, but was a direct result of the conditions that American descendants of slavery have to exist in. And this is ALL done by design. There are more resources available for immigrants/refugees than there are for people who are treated as though they are refugees in the country of their birth.

 

How Minneapolis, One of America’s Most Liberal Cities, Struggles With Racism

Minneapolis residents view themselves as welcoming; the state took in nearly 110,000 refugees from 1979 to 2018, a resettlement effort that is largely the work of Lutheran and Catholic social services agencies.

Since the 1990s, Minnesota has attracted a surge of immigrants from Somalia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Laos and Mexico. Minneapolis is about 60 percent white, 20 percent black, 10 percent Latino and 6 percent Asian, according to census data.

 

Oh yes indeed, Minnesota is very welcoming; you just have to be coming from Somalia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Laos and Mexico. If you were born in America and you happen to be an American descendant of slavery, Minnesota doesn’t welcome you. And even though I went to ST. OLAF’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, I received none of the assistance that those from Somalia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Laos and Mexico receive. You see, those folks head right into affordable housing, paid for by our tax dollars while those of us who are descendants of slavery can just head on over to a piece of shit homeless shelter and sit up in there for ‘god’ only knows how long. I met Black women who had been living in that homeless shelter for over a year, some had been there for two years IN A HOMELESS SHELTER. How they could stand it, I don’t know because the conditions in there were deplorable, unsanitary and down right dangerous! I lasted ONE goddamn night in there! There was NOT ONE immigrant sitting up in that shelter, NOT ONE! How is that just by any stretch of the imagination? Charity begins at home. You don’t drag folks, willingly over here and throw the services at them while treating those who are in the same boat, refugees in their own country, as if they are dirt, but that is exactly what is happening in Minneapolis, MN. The shit that I have seen would curl your toes. They damn near curled mine.

I don’t just read up on shit! I go and see for myself what the fuck’s going down and I always have PROOF of the fact that I know what the fuck I’m talking about BEFORE I speak on a subject. So don’t goddamn tell me that there are NO AFFORDABLE HOUSING in Minneapolis because there damn well is, but you must be from SOMALIA, CAMBODIA, ETHIOPIA, LAOS AND MEXICO TO GET IT! American descendants of slavery need NOT APPLY!

As you can see from the article, CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCIES help immigrants into housing, jobs, good medical care; the whole nine yards, but as an American descendant of slaves, we are sent to homeless shelters like the one that burned down on Christmas Day of last year; the fucking Drake Hotel.

People have been castigating the protesters for “burning down their own neighborhoods.” Go to Minneapolis and find one neighborhood that is loaded down with American descendants of slavery. I’ll save you the trouble, there are none. Eighteen percent of the twenty percent of Black people who reside in Minnesota are homeless or housing insecure because the vast majority of affordable housing units go to house immigrants. Now you tell me, what did American descendants of slavery have to lose in Minneapolis? I’ll tell you; not a goddamn thing! Minneapolis is bemoaning some shit that was fucked up and was owned by some damn immigrants. Fuck them!

 

Immigrant Murders Houston KKKop Because He Did Not Want To Go To Jail For Assaulting His Girlfriend

I was wondering why I had to click on multiple articles in order to get a look at the guy who murdered a kkkop, and I said to myself, “Self, the reason why you cannot view a picture of the suspect is because the suspect is NOT Black.” And lo and behold, after clicking numerous articles, I finally found one with a picture and name of the suspect, who is in custody facing capital murder charges for killing Christopher Brewster, a cop who was responding to a 911 call about domestic violence.

I am sure that he wants to thank “Amerikkka” for allowing his family to ‘immigrate’ here and now he will sit all up on our tax dollars as he awaits the death penalty in Texas. Aren’t we ALL proud to have him as a ‘citizen’?

Houston police officer fatally shot while responding to domestic dispute; suspect in custody

A Houston police officer was killed in the line of duty Saturday night, shot multiple times while responding to a domestic violence call, authorities confirmed.

A woman reported to police that her boyfriend was assaulting her and armed with two firearms. When Sgt. Christopher Brewster, 32, found the couple three streets away from the house police had responded to, the suspect shot him as he got out of his car, police said.

 

Just so you know that I am not picking on this man because I merely suspect that he is Hispanic, I do my research before I start slinging words around. Where does the surname “Solis” originate?

The name Solis is derived from the city of Soler, a town where many of the original members of the Solis family history lived. That city’s name was derived from the Latin word solarium, which means ground or bottom. The first known record of a Solis listed the individual as coming from Catalonia, Spain.

The surname Solis is a Hispanic surname. It has been used by Sephardim (Jews descended from those expelled from Spain in 1492) but it has also been used by Christians.

So then, who is going to provide the defense counsel for this confessed kkkop killer? Hispanics or Jews? Who wants to claim him in the family? He has apologized. He said that he did not mean to kill that kkkop who was only 32 years old and though shot multiple times, was able to pull his gun to try and defend himself against being shot again and he was also able to call in a description of the suspect who was apprehended shortly thereafter. The suspect’s girlfriend, who called the kkkops pointed him out and said, “There he is! That is who you are looking for!” And so what originated as a domestic violence call turned into a kkkop killing. However, since whites treat those(who are not ADOS) who have killed kkkops, real gentle like, Hispanic dude was taken alive and with not a bullet hole, to show for his troubles, to anyone in prison.

Hell! MSN refused to even print this kkkop killer’s name or provide a photo of him. Now if this guy had been BLACK, “Oh my gawd!” There would have been SO damn many pictures of his previous mug shots and his arrest record would have been included and the fact that he was a junior high school dropout, and a menace to society who should have been locked away at birth and don’t we ALL fucking know this!

But what I would like to know is this, if Solis did not mean to kill that kkkop, then why shoot him multiple times? If it’s just a “My bad,” situation and I don’t really mean to kill you, then why would I keep shooting you?

Those Hispanics, Latinos or whatever they want to call themselves ain’t no fucking joke! If you’ve heard of MS-13, then you know that that Latino gang ain’t no fucking joke. That gang is worse than the bloods and the crips. And here in this burg, I remember reading a news article decades ago about a young Black woman who was dating one of those Latinos and he was mistreating her. She had a baby by him. Well, he got mad at her because she wanted nothing else to do with him. That Latino bastard chopped that Black woman up into little pieces right in front of the baby and left what was left of that woman to rot inside the home with the baby. Why she would mess with that shit was always a mystery to me because they love machetes. They’ll chop your ass up in no time flat.

Don’t believe it? Read this! And I had to search long and hard for this!

Solis has a lengthy criminal history including a charge of assault causing bodily injury.

Below are his previous charges:

• 1/8/17- Burglary of vehicle– plead guilty- sentenced to 150 days in Harris County Jail
• 03/01/16- Evading arrest/detention– plead guilty- sentenced to 30 days in Harris County Jail
• 9/14/16- Harassment– guilty- sentenced 60 days in Brazoria Co Jail
• 8/11/15- Assault family member– plead guilty- sentenced to 70 days in Harris County Jail
• 11/10/14- Criminal mischief– guilty- sentenced to 20 Days Brazoria Co Jail

Solis can now add capital murder to the above charges. And so by all means, keep standing somewhere holding signs that “Immigrants Are Welcome Here.” By all means, keep those signs coming because we need more of them like Solis. That’s what you’re saying.

Immigrants are welcome, but those whose ancestors were DRAGGED over here? Not so damn fast!

“Families Belong Together!” Seriously? Solis was charged with assaulting a family member in 2015. He was also assaulting his girlfriend which led to a kkkop murder and so does it look as though Solis gives a shit about “Families Belonging Together?” He is about to have a new and bigger family inside prison; that is up until the state of Texas kills his ass after he spends years on death row. But since he’s confessed, they can just give him the lethal injection now and save the citizens of Texas some tax dollars.

So take your damn signs on down to Texas and protest right in front of the building that’s now housing kkkop killer, Arturo Solis. See how well that’s going to go over. And get back to me on that, willya?

Justine Damond’s Family Agrees To $20 Million Dollar Wrongful Death Settlement While Philando Castile’s Family Had To Settle For $2.995 Million Over His Wrongful Death. Why Was Damond’s ‘White’ Ass Worth More Than Philando Castile???

I would be the biggest liar in the world if I said that I didn’t already know before a settlement had been reached that the family of Justine Damond would receive what amounts to a king’s ransom compared to what Philando Castile’s mother received over the wrongful death of her son because make no mistake, Philando Castile did absolutely nothing wrong but was still shot dead by former Minneapolis Latino Police Officer, Jeronimo Yanez.

Let’s start with Justine Damond’s case.

Justine Damond’s family agrees to $20 million settlement with Minneapolis over police shooting death

The city of Minneapolis agreed to a $20 million settlement with the family of a woman shot dead by a police officer who was convicted of murder, lawmakers announced on Friday.

The settlement came just three days after jurors convicted the former officer, Mohamed Noor, of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the July 15, 2017, slaying of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, a dual citizen of the United States and Australia.

So because Black lives don’t matter and white lives do, Justine Damond’s family is to receive $20 million Amerikkkan dollars to take back to Australia simply because she chose to come to Amerikkka; the land of enraged gun-toting nuts and killer cops and expected to live a life free from the perils of a violent society that has been this way from the very minute it was wrested from the Indians. Her expectations were to be that no harm could ever come to her because her ‘white privilege’ would keep her from experiencing any unpleasantness and also the fact that she lived in an upscale area of South Minneapolis thus ensuring that she not rub shoulders with the seedy side of this shithole. Anyone coming to Amerikkka should already know that this hole is the absolute breeding ground for hate, violence and murder. That will never change because that is the very essence of Amerikkka and I don’t know who in their right mind comes here with any other expectation other than what I have noted here because if so, then they are in for a rude awakening or as was the case with Justine Damond, a violent death because everyone is so damn fearful, especially cops who though fearful for their worthless lives, join the police force and then when faced with a loud noise or a Black person, immediately get to shooting because they are just so damn fearful. Here’s an idea. Take that gun off. Take that blue uniform off and go hide in your mama’s basement and shut the fuck up about how fucking fearful you are. That’ll solve that shit right there. If cops were told that they had to give up their patrol cars, give up their guns and walk the beat with only a billy club, they would ALL quit in one fell swoop and don’t we all fucking know this! Those namby-pamby shit their pants, snot nosed cowards can’t even find their balls until they put that gun in a holster on their flabby ass hip. And the rest of us have to pay the price for their scared shitless ass antics either in the form of bodies showing up at the morgue with a cop’s bullet in them or through our tax dollars going to payouts for wrongful death lawsuits. If you had just an inkling of the amount of money that has been paid to the families of people wrongfully killed by cops, the numbers should astound you and yet you sit somewhere taking up for those pigs as though they are doing us a fucking favor when the only favor they could do us is to quit.

And so now we come to Philando Castile’s case.

Family reaches $2.995M settlement in Philando Castile’s death

MINNEAPOLIS — The mother of Philando Castile, a black motorist killed by a Minnesota police officer last year, has reached a nearly $3 million settlement in his death, according to an announcement Monday by her attorneys and the Minneapolis suburb that employed the officer.

The settlement to be paid to Valerie Castile will avoid a federal wrongful death lawsuit stemming from Philando Castile’s death. The 32-year-old elementary school cafeteria worker was killed by St. Anthony officer Jeronimo Yanez during a traffic stop July 6 after Castile told the officer he was armed. Castile had a permit for his gun.

Those racist bastards couldn’t even see fit to give the mother of that slain innocent man the full $3M. They nickle and dimed that man’s death like he was meaningless. And the lawyer received most of that money. They always do. Even when a Black person receives a settlement that wouldn’t even keep an ant colony fed, the attorneys receive their fees right off the top before the money is even handed to the victim.

But why did Justine Damond warrant a $20 million dollar payout and Philando Castile only warranted a $2.995 million dollar payout when both were equally innocent? Neither had done anything wrong. Justine Damond had called the police on a suspected assault outside her South Minneapolis home and she got shot dead for her efforts. Philando Castile was pulled over because according to Latino police officer Jeronimo Yanez, he resembled a ‘wide-nosed’ Black suspect who had robbed a store a few days prior to him pulling over Philando Castile. So, Castile was murdered by Jeronimo Yanez because he was Black and had a ‘wide’ nose. So again I ask, “What the hell did Philando Castile do to cause Jeronimo Yanez to murder him? Not a goddamn thing!

These are the final moments of Philando Castile’s life!

During his trial, Yanez, 29, testified that Castile ignored his commands not to pull out his gun. The officer said he feared for his life. According to squad-car video that captured the shooting, Castile said: “I’m not pulling it out” before Yanez fired seven rapid shots. Castile’s last words after the shooting were “I wasn’t reaching …”

Castile’s girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, later said Castile was reaching for his wallet.

The squad-car video shows the shooting, but does not show what happened inside the car or what Yanez saw, leaving room for reasonable doubt.

Castile’s girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, can be heard screaming. The young girl responds by saying, “Mom, please stop cussing and screaming ’cause I don’t want you to get shooted. I can keep you safe.”

As the young girl comforts her mother, the video shows the pair praying, unaware Castile has died.

Philando Castile, even as he was dying was still trying to tell Jeronimo Yanez that he was not reaching for the gun that he had already told him he had a permit to carry. Why would Philando Castile, who had no criminal record and who had a permit to carry a gun and told the officer he had a permit to carry a gun, pull out a gun when the man wasn’t stupid, he knew how fearful cops are when they pull over a Black man? And to say that there was “room for reasonable doubt” meaning that what descendants of slaves say does not matter and will never matter because they were not about to believe what the little girl in the car would say on the witness stand. They were not about to believe what Philando Castile’s girlfriend would say on the witness stand, but if a white motherfucker had been inside that vehicle, they would have taken his/her word for what happened. This shit is just making me shake with rage!

Once again, Philando Castile never asked to be born in this shithole. He did not board a plane and fly here. His ancestors were dragged here and he was making the most of a horrible situation and yet, he was targeted because he resembled a robbery suspect with a ‘wide’ nose? He was pulled over and murdered because he was a Black man with a ‘wide’ nose? And yet there was no “room for reasonable” doubt in that Jeronimo Yanez had no reason whatsoever to “fear for his worthless ass life?” Seriously???!!!

A little girl sitting in a car where seven shots are fired straight into it killing the driver and she sits there while her mother is screaming and she says, “Mom, please stop cussing and screaming ’cause I don’t want you to get shooted. I can keep you safe.”

Child, the sad part is that we cannot even keep you safe, beautiful little brave one. This little girl is braver than I could ever be because I would be seriously mentally unstable after that. This is why I am enraged. This is why I will never let up when it comes to showcasing the glaring difference in how cases are treated when there is a Black victim as opposed to a white victim. Philando Castile was just as innocent of any crime as was Justine Damond and yet his family received for his murder, $2.995 million dollars while Justine Damond’s family received $20 million dollars. No nickle and diming there for Justine ‘Goldilocks’ Damond.

And the whites say that the taking of your life was only worth $2.995 million while the taking of ‘white’ Justine Damond’s life was worth $20 million and a little Black girl sits in the back seat witnessing murder and in the midst of it all says, “Mom, please stop cussing and screaming ’cause I don’t want you to get shooted. I can keep you safe.”

Tears are streaming down my face because I am so very tired and yet we are expected to get up each day and ‘love’ those who are systematically destroying us as though we are not even human. I am going to keep this one civil because I SO want to unload on these white devils so damn bad, I am aching with the force of having to keep it under control.

Why Boycott Starbucks?

 

Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz, in opposition to Donald Trump’s recent executive action regarding banning immigrants from certain countries for a few months, has decided to hire 10,000 refugees at Starbucks locations all across the globe. So according to this article, Trump’s supporters took to social media to ramp up a boycott against Starbucks because of the CEO’s stance even though it has also been stated that Starbucks pledged to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses by 2018.

People are boycotting Starbucks (SBUX) again, and this time it has nothing to do with its cups.

On Sunday, Starbucks’ CEO Howard Schultz disclosed that the coffee giant would be hiring 10,000 refugees worldwide over the next five years, a direct response to President Donald Trump’s executive order barring immigrants — including refugees — from seven countries from entering the U.S.

Now, let’s take a look at something. The average pay of a barista at Starbucks is between $7.63 and $10.63 per hour, and shift managers earn an average of $9.12 to $13.44 which still leaves the employee in poverty since it has been established that a person needs to make $48,788 a year to cover standard costs of living expenses and if I was to take an average of what a Starbucks shift manager earns which would be around $11.00 an hour, that employee would make $21,120 a year, well below what’s needed to live on. So, how is Starbucks doing any favors for veterans and their spouses or even immigrants since they will need social programs to live on and need to make use of food banks to supplement their Starbucks earnings because their take-home pay will not be $21,120 since taxes and other payroll deductions will come out of their pay? How is the CEO of Starbucks in any position to attempt to take the high road at all since this is also known by the Starbucks CEO? How is he even attempting to take the high road against Donald Trump by announcing his plan to hire 10,000 immigrants and pay them poverty wages while the CEO of Starbucks makes $9,200 an hour which makes him one of the biggest hypocrites to even attempt to take the high road?

Where is his concern for those who enable his sorry ass to rake in $9,200 an hour while Starbucks shift managers start out earning $9.12 an hour and the starting salary for a barista is only $7.63 to $10.63 an hour? Why was there never a call to boycott Starbucks in protest over the paltry wages paid to those who work there?  Or better yet, to make a noise over the pay of its CEO in comparison to that of the average Starbucks employee? Why not stand in solidarity with those who, once they finish their shift at Starbucks,  must then head out the door, change clothes and go to their second job; that’s the only way they’ll be able to afford more than a box underneath a bridge because I hear tell that boxes underneath bridges are at a premium these days. We will never make a difference because the only way to make a difference is to boycott every single business in every single country and turn our cities into communities where we help each other. But that will never catch on because we only boycott when something makes us mad and for only five minutes. What’s that going to do? Not a damn thing. So, no one is worried about your Starbucks boycott, especially not the one you’re hoping will be worried; its billionaire CEO, Howard Schultz.

Isn’t it nice when billionaires decide to take a stand to help the helpless? Isn’t it just wonderful to see one billionaire pit his empathy and selflessness against another? I mean, on the one hand, we have Donald Trump calling for a ban on immigrants from certain countries because ‘average’ Americans need to be kept safe from refugees who were made so by the very fact of this country shit stirring in theirs; bombing the hell out of their country and on the other hand, we have another billionaire who steps in and saves the day for the ‘average’ immigrant by throwing poverty wages at them if they can indeed, get past Donald Trump’s immigration ban. How this circus of horrors will play out is anyone’s guess. But we can be sure that things will only go from bad to worse at this point with billionaires telling us what’s best for us. When has a billionaire ever done anything but what was best for the billionaire? Both are bloated windbags with more money than brains and who have been using their silver spoons to sip from their bowls of wealth and privilege and who never knew what it actually meant to earn one honest dollar in their lives.

We have 10,000 veterans and spouses of veterans about to start earning poverty wages, and by the way, this must be how billionaires ‘thank them for their service’ and soon to be joining them in about three months time will be 10,000 immigrants and with both the House and the Senate hell bent on cutting social programs, we wonder why more and more homeless tent cities are popping up and why food banks are stretched to their limits and are running out of food? Ha! Keep wondering. Meanwhile, being the ever so helpful person that I am, I did a bit of research and found the cheapest apartment in America. It is located in Cleveland, OH and it’s only $350 a month. Sweet ain’t it? If you don’t mind living in Cleveland, then you’re all set. No need to thank me, that’s what I do, help the helpless and can you believe it, I’m not even a billionaire. I’m just a thoughtful, empathetic person who does indeed know what it feels like to live like a refugee in ones own supposed, ‘country’. I am one who has seen much suffering of those who are not deemed ‘refugees’ but who also live like refugees in their country of birth.

We don’t even take care of the least of us who were born in this country but we want to add to the burden of a system that is already bulging at the seams to the point where its ready to burst and deflate and what with these hypocritical Christian charities over here taking donations left and right and doing nothing that amounts to charity work, we need more people who have empathy and selflessness because we are the only ones who will attempt to step up to the plate when billionaires and Christian hypocrites add to our problems instead of resolving them.

I don’t need to boycott Starbucks because I have never stepped foot inside one. Of course it could be because caffeine disagrees with me but it also could mean that I loathe the very name ‘Starbucks’ because everyone is running through the doors of Starbucks as though it is the first and last name in coffee. We’re talking coffee folks, something that just should not be that important. If you were running through the doors of say, ‘Habitat for Humanity’ seeking to help build some poor person a much needed home, then I’d say, “Way ta go!” But that’s not what’s happening.  When was the last time you ran inside the doors of a homeless shelter because it was bandied about as being the most hip spot to go into and get your ‘help the poor’ fix? When was the last time you ran inside the door of a food bank or food shelf to help out because it was the most hip spot to go into and get your ‘help the hungry’ fix? When others hype up a place like a ridiculously named coffee joint to the point where that’s the only name you hear, I do just the opposite and that is exactly what I do, head in the opposite direction.

So, Cleveland it is then, eh?

His cold little body was washed up on a beach.
Where was the sanctuary he was trying to reach?

He was only three years old; he was a victim of endless war.
If we don’t protect our children, what are we here for?

So, he was not a German and could not shelter there.
He had no Russian passport and so Russia did not care.

Could he shelter in the arms of Lady Liberty?
She preferred that he should drown from sea to shining sea.

The plight of this dead child will not be a wake-up call.
No country wanted him and he could not breach its wall.

The world has been shamed but that won’t last long.
We’re all just hypocrites singing a “We Are The World!” song!

This song was written back in 1985 and yet it is the year 2015 and WE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN, WE ARE NOT MAKING A BRIGHTER DAY FOR THEM! Tell that to the little boy whose body washed up on a beach because he was a refugee! Tell him that WE ARE THE CHILDREN!
