Project allowing Chicago migrants to acquire work permits begins this week

Organizers estimate 11,000 migrants will be eligible for work permits, but the plan leaves out thousands of undocumented people

A pilot project allowing asylum-seeking migrants to apply for work permits in Chicago will begin on Thursday in a partnership between city, state and federal governments.

The effort will be led by The Resurrection Project in Chicago

“I think what people will see is when immigrants are given the opportunity to apply for a work permit, we do. When immigrants are given the opportunity to find jobs, we do,” Erendira Rendon, Vice President of immigrant justice at The Resurrection Project said.

Agents from the Unites States Citizenship and Immigration Services will be on site to accept applications on the day of and help begin their process. In total, TRP officials said it could take up to two months before migrants can work.

So, let me get this straight, Chicago was already dealing with serious back-to-back crises, what with a massive homelessness problem, gang, gun and drug violence, inner city school drop-out rates out-of-the-ballpark, skyrocketing crime, out-of-control rent hikes, Black unemployment figures damn near in the triple digits, but some jumped up Project calling itself “The Resurrection Project,” has just stepped in to help some damn illegals acquire work permits to work where? Because the LEGAL Black citizens of Chicago would dearly love the answer to that question. They would also love to know about a “hiring fair” that is in the business of hiring LEGAL Black citizens of Chicago as opposed to ILLEGALS from who the hell knows where!

And what about this?!

“Unfortunately, the program is excluding the long-term undocumented community who have lived in Chicago for a long time,” Rendon said. “That community will continue to be left out. The Biden Administration has not opened a parole and work permit for the undocumented community, which includes dreamers.”

According to TRP, 180,000 undocumented immigrants currently live in Chicago and are awaiting work permits.

Wow! There are approximately 180,000 illegals who are currently living in Chicago and they are still waiting on work permits, meanwhile, the NEWLY ARRIVED ILLEGALS headed to the front of the line and yet folks want to castigate me, claiming that I am being divisive; that I am falling for the so-called ‘elites’ “divide and conquer” strategy since I have been loudly speaking out against the massive influx of illegals who have been welcomed here to take over this fucked up country while disrespecting LEGAL citizens and I’m NOT supposed to have ANY objections to that shit??!! The Paramount Hotel, a 600-room, Renaissance-style gem opposite the Richard Rodgers Theatre where “Hamilton” has been playing since 2015, is the fifth Midtown hotel converted to an “emergency” shelter in as many months. Earlier this month, tourists were paying $330 a night to stay there and prices hit as high as $1,000 around New Year’s Eve.

The Paramount is around the corner from the $400-a-night Italianate Row Hotel on Eighth Avenue, whose 1,300 rooms were handed over to illegals late last year.

And then you motherfuckers wonder why I cussed out illegals on a bus in Montgomery County, MD? This would be why.
