The owner, Metssa Trading, came to Africa from India more than two decades ago under the name Metafrique, seizing upon cheap material, labor and some of the weakest social and environmental protections in the world.

The company is now one of Central Africa’s most prominent recyclers of used automotive batteries; boxes of plastic, chemicals, and metal that — when chopped to pieces and melted inside 2,000-degree Fahrenheit ovens — produce the lead essential to most cars on the road today.

Yet while India introduced its first lead battery rules requiring recycling companies to adopt safe practices in its own country more than 20 years ago, the Republic of Congo, like other countries in Africa, hasn’t done the same.

Now, officials in New Delhi are celebrating the charge of Indian operations into Africa, which include battery recycling facilities in at least eight countries. India recently dispatched one of its ambassadors in West Africa to inaugurate a plant that had been stockpiling lead batteries. Indian investments in Africa have grown by more than $20 billion in four years, officials say, and government funding for projects across the continent are on the rise. “The sky is the limit,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in August.

Mayor of NYC mulls plan to build tent city for influx of migrants

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has announced he is considering putting up large tents as temporary shelter for the influx of relocated migrants the city is struggling to accommodate, The Associated Press reports.

The proposed tent city is one of many options city officials are considering to house the estimated 13,000 migrants that have arrived from Texas and Arizona. Cruise ships and summer camps are also on the table.

“This is not an everyday homelessness crisis, but a humanitarian crisis that requires a different approach,” Adams said in a statement Thursday.

Despite its extensive system of homeless shelters, New York City is struggling to find accommodations for the newcomers. MINNEAPOLIS — A sprawling homeless encampment that had hundreds of tents at its peak is gone from Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis. Sanitation workers hauled away the last few tents Monday, July 20, and park police arrested about 20 people, residents and activists who refused to leave.

NYC earmarks $2 million for Ukrainians fleeing war

Ukrainians fleeing their war-torn homeland for the Big Apple will be eligible to get relief under a new $2.1 million outlay Mayor Adams announced Friday.

The cash will pay for legal services, translation for non-English speakers, housing assistance and health care services, according to city officials.

Adams and Ukraine’s Consul General Oleksii Holubov unveiled the creation of the city’s new assistance fund Friday afternoon on the steps of City Hall.

If ‘charity begins at home’, then what I would like to know is when? Because from where I sit, there is no charity being distributed among America’s citizens who have been living too long as though they are in a warzone. Why do they not matter? Why is there no concerted effort to throw millions and billions to get people off the streets and into affordable housing since we’ve got people who have been homeless for decades and yet some racist shits have been having issues for a little over a month and that’s the biggest, most horrifying scenario ever. And statistically speaking, we are at the bottom, economically and so disadvantaged, it has been stated that Black household wealth stands at $7.00. We have no real and true wealth; no tangible and intangible assets.

But that was not always the case. Whites destroyed everything we ever built for ourselves, from our homes to our institutions to our movements and so why do you think that they have no problem with us ‘celebrating’ Juneteenth, Black History Month and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Day? It is because that is ALL we are to have. And for most of you, that seems to be enough!

And yet, when the protests were raging, all we heard from the whites and from the Black misleaders was, “Look! They are burning down their own neighborhoods!” What fucking neighborhoods do we own? Black people don’t own shit! The lone Black barbershop on the corner is nothing to screech about because, HELL! In Baltimore, MD, Black people have taken to doing curbside barbering. Those goddamn foreigners that the whites have over here on expired visas own that shit that was burned to the ground. If you look at the news out of Minneapolis, there was some Somali man standing there talking about how he owned this and that and was going to help the burned out community. SERIOUSLY??!! How did his tree climbing ass, crawl down from a tree in Somalia, fly the fuck over here and own some damn businesses when Black people, who were born here and are descendants of slaves, have to operate a ‘curbside’ barbershop and yet the whites and the Black misleaders want to exclaim that we are burning down our own damn businesses? What businesses? Yeah! Go do your research and get back to me on that. American descendants of slavery are doing so poorly because it is by design. Whites know why! ‘Shameful’: Police Officers Charged for Beating Multiple Porcupines to Death While on Duty

Two police officers in Rockland, Maine who were fired last week now face charges of aggravated cruelty to animals for allegedly beating several porcupines to death during their shifts. According to the report, the officers didn’t just pummel the animals, they also shared the deed via social media. In the video, Rolerson beat something on the ground with his baton, saying ‘I got it’ as he returned to his cruiser. A photo of a dead porcupine was then posted.” Cox and Rolerson allegedly admitted to beating the animals to death and expressed remorse. Per the Gazette, Rolerson estimated to killing eight porcupines and Cox admitted to killing three.

So, am I to understand that Klan Kops can get off for killing Black PEOPLE, but when it comes to killing PORCUPINES, whites draw the line???!!! The Klan kops may be charged, but what I want to know is will they be serving any time because Michael Vick was certainly made to serve time for damn near the same charges leveled at those Klan kops; AGGRAVATED CRUELTY TO ANIMALS and he served time in prison for that shit despite having to pay a lawyer as opposed to being represented by a public defender. Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months on animal cruelty charges and so it is going to be real interesting to see if those two Klan kops serve any time. I won’t hold my breath.

Folks, I don’t know how this is all going to end. The only thing I do know is that the shit is not going to end well and for many, the shit has already ended. What’s going down cannot continue regardless if there is an election or not because as things stand, what the hell use is an election when everything over here is either infected, fried, toasted, oven roasted, flooded out, about to be flooded out, drought stricken and some more shit? Black people are still getting murdered in their beds while Klan kops skate and yet kops are getting fired and charged for killing PORCUPINES. Hunger and homelessness are about to become even more of an epidemic. People are saying, all across the U.S. that where they live, things are eerily quiet as if their neighbors are dead and just haven’t been discovered yet. I already posted a blog about how quiet the shit’s gotten around me. I don’t hear shit anymore and months ago, children were outside playing, parties were going on, loud music was booming all over the place and now, all is silent; all is eerily quiet. I have never witnessed the likes of this in my life.

The strangest shit is happening. The most fucked up shit is happening. Shit that don’t even make any sense is occurring and yet, we are being encouraged to behave as if everything is normal when it should not be ‘normal’ or ‘the norm’ for Klan kops to be fired and charged for killing PORCUPINES while getting off scot free for killing American descendants of slavery.

Black folks, I know that our issues are many and I do feel for you if your situation has deteriorated to the point whereas you are having no idea what to do. I wish that I had a solution. But all I can do is hope that things are not as dire for Black people as I think they are. And it is cold comfort, I am sure, to know that we will be having plenty of company, very shortly.

Chicago Police Arrest More Than 100 People After Looting Batters Downtown

The Chicago authorities arrested more than 100 people and briefly raised bridges to the downtown as unrest and shopping overnight caused widespread damage in the city’s main business and shopping district, officials said on Monday. More than 400 police officers were dispatched after the police became aware of a social media post about potential ~~looting~~ broke shopping in the downtown.

But here’s the clincher!

The officials said that a special team of investigators were looking through surveillance video to try to arrest more people who took part in the ~~looting~~ broke shopping, which Mayor Lightfoot described as “straight-up felony criminal conduct.”

People, when are you going to learn that those surveillance cameras are in place for a reason; the reason being to lock you up when you don’t OBEY, to lock you up when you become a threat to CAPITALISM. When folks who ordinarily could not shop on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, one of the city’s most-popular tourist attractions, decide that they ARE going to go shopping on CHICAGO’S MAGNIFICENT MILE, well now, it is time to haul every KKKop off of his Klan duty of patrolling Chicago’s Black neighborhoods and head to downtown Chicago and get those BROKE SHOPPERS in line, which means, in jail.

If you don’t want to continue to assist in your arrest as you merely go about the business of broke shopping, then the first order of business is to take down the equipment the spies use to follow your every movement. You see, just a few decades ago, no special team of investigators would have been able to look through any surveillance video to try and arrest people because that shit did not exist. But because those who are the puppet masters set this shit in motion and want to run our lives like we are mere chess pieces on a board, surveillance cameras and spy satellites were installed to watch our every move. And as you can also see, there are teams of assholes sitting around perusing social media to find out just what the hell you are up to. I’d become a bit more cautious in how I got my message out if I were you because if the lying, fake news is to be believed, then 100 of you broke shoppers got yourselves arrested and according to Chicago’s mayor, Lightfoot, you’re up on felony charges, while the biggest felon has a building, front and center with his name on it, TRUMP. I know you couldn’t fail to see that shit! But who is somewhere arresting HIS ass? And who the hell needs arresting more than Trump needs it? I rest my case. So, the city officials in Chicago are lifting bridges to deter broke shoppers from coming to the upscale sections of downtown Chicago so that those who’ve pillaged and plundered for hundreds of years can continue that shit, unmolested. While COVID-19 is supposedly raging in Chicago, visitors to MAGNIFICENT MILE are encouraged to shop til they drop while those who are Black and poor and who are under siege in a city from hell are being left to rot and shoot it out in poor Black neighborhoods because drugs and guns are the only means to obtain money for food, shelter and the other basics of human need.

You shameless rich white, filthy shits can sit back on your asses all day and point the finger at so-called ‘looters’ all you want, but your asses are the BIGGEST goddamn looters that ever was. You’ve LOOTED an entire planet and now you’re bent-out-of-shape because you believe that someone other than yourselves is taking YOUR shit and you don’t fucking like that and so send in your goon squad? Is that about right? I hope the shit continues to go down because it is high time you got what’s coming to you. In Minnesota, where protests began this week after the death of Mr. Floyd in Minneapolis police custody Monday, Gov. Tim Walz pleaded with residents to obey an 8 p.m. curfew. Mr. Walz said he was fully mobilizing the state’s National Guard after a night of rioting and violence, leaving open the possibility of requesting federal troops; forces from other states had also been readied to deploy to Minnesota.

John Crawford was murdered by thugs in blue uniforms because he was holding a toy gun inside a Walmart. Walter Scott was murdered by thugs in blue because he owed child support. Michael Brown was murdered by thugs in blue because he was suspected of stealing cigars. Jamar Clark was murdered by thugs in blue because of a traffic stop. Philando Castile was murdered by thugs in blue because he was merely OBEYING the order to produce his identification. Akai Gurley was shot by thugs in blue uniforms in a dark hallway in November of 2014 and as of today, no one knows why or has been arrested for his murder. Kajieme Powell was shot and killed by thugs in blue uniforms for allegedly stealing an energy drink, the kkkops lied on him and said that he threatened them when witnesses said the man’s hands were by his side. As of today, no one is in prison for murdering him.

Ezell Ford was lying down when he was shot dead by thugs in blue uniforms and as of today, no one is sitting inside a prison cell for murdering him. Dante Parker was tasered to death by thugs in blue uniforms and as of today, no one is in custody for murdering him. Thugs in blue uniforms claimed that Tyree Woodson smuggled a gun inside a police station and used it to commit suicide. Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Those thugs in blue uniforms claim that Victor White killed himself while handcuffed inside a police car. Yeah, that also makes perfect sense. Yvette Smith was shot by police as she opened the door to them following a domestic disturbance call. The thugs in blue lied on her and said she had a gun. She did not and as of yet, no one is in custody for murdering her. McKenzie Cochran was also choked to death by thugs in uniform and as of yet, no one is in custody for murdering him. Jordan Baker was unarmed when he was shot dead by thugs in blue and as of yet, no one is in custody for murdering him. I could keep this going all damn day long, but the point should be well made; those thugs in blue uniforms are killing Black people because ALL other whites are behind them doing so. Those thugs in kop uniforms have relatives and some of those relatives are standing on the street right now pretending sympathy and empathy for what is going down when they are just as guilty as those they protect by their deafening silence over their racism!

Armed Hate Group Intimidates Workers At A Subway Sandwich Shop In North Carolina

If Black men had gone into that Subway sandwich shop sporting rocket launchers and guns galore, the entire North Carolina police force, along with the entire South Carolina AND Virginia police force and even the Georgia police force would have converged on that Subway sandwich shop and shot it the fuck up and they would not have even bothered to consider the workers in that Subway sandwich shop. Anti-lockdown protesters carry weapons into North Carolina sandwich shop

A group of armed demonstrators protesting North Carolina’s stay-at-home order walked the streets of Raleigh, North Carolina, this weekend, weapons slung over their shoulders, and were captured at a restaurant in photographs that went viral.

One photo shows a protester carrying what appears to be an AT4 rocket launcher and two pistols in holsters on his waist. Another shows a protester holding a large weapon over his shoulder as he appears to take a selfie. Two of the demonstrators who appear in the photos are wearing masks.

An unarmed Black man cannot even go jogging without getting shot by whites, while whites get to parade around carrying rocket launchers and are armed to the teeth claiming that, “We are a peaceful group, and wish to keep it that way at all costs,” the statement said. “We aren’t looking for a fight. We in fact, want the opposite. We want to put on a smile, shake some hands, and be friendly. An armed society is a polite society.”

What.The.Fuck. How stupid can they be? How ignorant can they sound? “An armed society is a polite society?” Did those wastes of damn pallid, flimsy skinned Neanderthals really go there? That shit doesn’t make a damn bit of sense.
